Thank you!I have no idea on pricing but that is gorgeous!
Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at GemFix, and now off to look at the other two.Maybe take a look at Jeff Davies', GemCal's, and GemFix's inventories? All 3 vendors usually have a good selection of Spinels ... hopefully there'll be some comparables to your stone.
Thank you. Pricing seems to be all over the place and I can’t figure out if its because of something gem related (tone, origin, etc) or because of market factors. Not understanding the retail market makes it harder to price for PL.Wow that is a gorgeous spinel. Red are going for pretty high prices right now. I can't think of any vendors that have comparably high quality red spinel other than Yavorsky.
Thank you!

You nailed it. Gem origin and tone are huge in colored stones, especially red spinel.
Red spinel will often have a brown, or purple, or grey undertone. Those all diminish from the quality and price. Yours looks like it is pretty free of undertone and -if- it does have any it's the more desirable purple.
I think your best bet would be to bring the stone to an appraiser if you want an accurate idea of the value.
idk if our monitors are different but this gem looks significantly purplish to me and idk that I'd call it "red" at all.
