I've done my research after being burned by Enchanted Diamonds and have narrowed the search to these diamonds. Here are also the stats I'm looking for:

Budget- $20K give or take $5K
Carat- 1.5+ (ring size 5)
Color- G+
Clarity- VS1+

Top choice: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4150029.htm
Similar but slightly different: https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD10371
Cheaper Options: https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD10256
https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD9158
Worth the E? https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD9335

Thanks for the input!

I don’t know if it’s just their equipment, but the Whiteflash diamond looks so much prettier than the HPs. I think F color is the perfect place to be. And you get the amazing upgrade policy with WF.
Glad this story will have a happy ending!

Unless you have cultural reasons or struggle with mind clean issues then most people would appreciate a size or color bump and/or money saved vs clarity that is only appreciated with a 10x scope.

Also, have you and she looked at diamonds and are you aware of both your color sensitivities? Depending how sensitive both you are I could possibly see some appreciation for the E or F color.

Proportions I noticed are all hovering around a 56-57 table and 34.5ish crown and 40.7-40.8 pavilion. Quite lovely IMO and all will throw nice fire.

Both vendors are top notch and trustworthy. Both have the same upgrade policies. WF also has a 50% upgrade policy on a designer setting if you go that route. HPD has an 80% buyback policy which no one else does.

Quite honestly you have no bad choices here.

You are considering between two great vendors. I wouldn’t personally go above VS1 clarity. (Not worth the extra cost for me.). Both vendors have some nice G VS1 if you decide to go that route.
Have you reached out to each vendor? Sometimes at this stage of the decision you just find one is a better fit for you unless you find you are definitely leaning towards one stone and/or setting.
