Hello all. I’m in need of your help. I’m looking around for soMe diamonds for studs and have decided to give the lab created diamonds a shot mainly bc of the very attractive price point. All I have currently are “natural” diamonds and know next to nothing about lab diamonds. Can someone please suggest some nice stones ( they don’t have to be perfect per say as I have a pair of aca that I consider my perfect diamonds) I’m looking at James Allen Bc they have ideal cut diamonds and are having a sale currently. I’m looking in the 1.8 to 2.0 ctw range. D-G VS2 ideal / excellent cut with a small budget of about $3000. I’m open to other vendors. Thank you so much!!

How about this pair?

Thank you so much. Great find!!These look gorgeous and great. I might give them a try! If I don’t like them I can always return them right?

Does anything about those stones seem undesirable? I’ve been reading about graining and haziness? Any signs of those? The cut looks great. I plugged them into the hca cut tool and they scored pretty well at 1.2 and 1.5. Thanks again.

Me too. I looked at a ton of pictures and read up on them and decided to give them a go. I think I was against them in the beginning bc I thought they would look different than Earth mined stones. I hope they turn out nicely and I won’t have to send them back. I don’t plan on selling any of my current collection so the resale factor is a Non issue.

You may want to message Rhino at distinctive gems with your budget and side and see what he comes up with. He has a private reserve section on his website too with excellent stones. If I upgrade my e-ring it’ll probably be through him

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll give that a look.

You're welcome! James Allen has an excellent return policy, so you can easily return them if they don't work out.

I don't see any signs of graining or haziness. If you like them, I'd put them on hold while you're still deciding.

What do you guys think of this stone. It’s a “true hearts cut”. I put all three on hold that’s why it’s unavailable.

It's beautifully cut, but may have slight blue nuance and won't match well with either of the two other stones due to the 59% table compared to the other two 57% tables.

Ok thank you for that answer. I am going with the original two you suggested. Thank you so much. I’ll post pictures and comparison shots with my WF Acas

My pleasure! Hope you love them, and I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.

Thank you again for all your help. I’m very curious on how they will measure up to my ACAs.

Any updates?

Well I went with the pair @Kim N suggested from James Allen. .93 and .94 D VS2 in a 3 prong martini setting. they are now in production estimated to ship on 3/23. I’m trying to patiently wait. It is my first time buying something other than “ mined diamonds “ so I’m going to be checking and evaluating and comparing them to my WF ACA studs. The other issue and the whole reason I went the man made route is b/ c I really wanted something closer to 2ctw. my current studs are .75 ct each or 5.7mm each. these new ones are about 6.3mm. I was going to upgrade my aca but they are F color and in order to achieve the 1 carat mark id have to drop down to an I and still drop a whole bunch of money. I can’t part with my crisp white Fs and I’m also sentimental towards them since my husband surprised me with them for our 10 year and picked them out himself. So if Decide that I love these lab studs I have to see if the difference in size is worth it or not. So many decisions. I’ll post pictures and my opinions as well as pictures with my ACAs.

I feel like I am in exactly the same boat! I only have mined diamonds thus far but I am not opposed to lab diamonds - especially in my ears! My studs are .71 and .72 (~5.7mm) and I feel like I would need to go up over 1ct to see much of a difference. There is such a huge price jump going over that hurdle! Cannot wait til yours come to hear your opinion on the difference.

Oh that’s a coincidence. I’d love to see your studs. I feel like mine are just a tad too small so I’m hoping these 6.3 mm studs will do the trick. Without breaking the back toO much. I mean I’m not saying 3k isn’t a lot of money. It is in a grand scheme of things especially considering I grew up really poor in a communist country. But this way I get to keep my sentimental value F colored acas and get a bigger size that I desire. Win win hopefully.

They have arrived!!! And I’m blown away. They are amazing. Crisp, bright sparkly and the perfect size. I’ll make a separate thread to compare them to my WF ACAs thank you @Kim N for your help in selecting them they are perfect!! 45C69FED-7456-418C-9920-4FB4E438F1E8.jpegACB8F553-3535-43CB-B69A-A2D1C83BF34F.jpeg20AD6140-0FBF-4104-A4D5-862ED005599F.jpeg
