Help me pick between two diamonds!

Hi everyone! I just recently discovered this site and it's been amazingly helpful in my search for an ring. In my searches, I've narrowed down the choices to 2 diamonds:

0.72 I VVS1 HCA 1.2


0.77 H VS1 HCA 0.9


Both have excellent cuts and are within a few hundred dollars of each other and still comfortably within my budget. Is one clearly better than the other? Or am I fussing over nothing?

Hmmm, the 0.72ct is a better cut, but its unlikely you could see that side by side, and the other stone will be a fair bit larger in diameter I am guessing

Thanks Garry! You're right, I doubt anyone will be able to see the difference side by side in the cut. The 0.77 is 5.87 x 5.92 x 3.59, while the 0.72 is 5.75 x 5.79 x 3.52. The gemologist recommended the 0.77 but I'm not sure if he's recommending it because it's more expensive, or if it' truly is for "overall beauty".

I'm no gemologist, but as a color-sensitive diamond lover, I vote for the H as it is whiter than the I.
