Hi all,
As you might have seen in my previous post, I am planning to propose to my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. Thanks to all the help that I received from members here, I have finally found "the one" to propose with - a 2.26 round brilliant from Whiteflash!!!
Now that the stone is all sorted, I am trying to decide which setting to have the stone set with. Since I am on a tight deadline and because I heard that Whiteflash does nice settings, I am looking to have the stone set with Whiteflash as well. I know that my girlfriend likes:
- single solitaire setting
- something simple, yet classy and sophisticated
- in platinum
- 4 prongs, to give the most exposure to the stone
- a band with prongs that looks delicate, but yet is sturdy enough to hold the diamond in very well
- tapered band in which the shank narrows into the stone. She does not like when the width of a bank is uniform throughout
- high setting or equivalent which will really make the stone "pop"
- a band which will sit flush with most wedding rings - looking to get a half circle of diamonds eternity ring
Can anyone recommend a setting which fits many of these characteristics on Whiteflash? I'm not sure what would be a good width for the band, am thinking between 2 and 2.5 mm? Or is 2.5 a bit on the thick side? She wants something that will look delicate and dainty. Currently thinking of the legato sleek line, vatche caroline, vatche swan if they can make it with 4 prongs, Vatche U114, 4 prong tiffany style solitaire, and 4 prong tiffany knife edge style. However, am really open to any of them on the site, so any advice is appreciated!

Thanks very much for reading this post!
By the way, Ive looked at the sticky where you ladies post your bling, all very beautiful, but embarrassing enough, all of the round brilliant solitaires look very similar to me!
