GF wants a 6-prong cathedral pave setting. Got the diamond from WF, so easiest is definitely to get a setting from them, but their settings seem pretty expensive. Here is what I'm looking at; would love to hear your thoughts.

From WF: https://www.whiteflash.com/engageme...ond-engagement-ring-by-vatche-1650.htm#size=6

I like this setting, but am concerned that the prongs look like they stick out beyond the stone on the sides. Easiest way I can describe it is that they look "bulky".

Other option: https://www.adiamor.com/Engagement-...t-Pave-Band-Engagement-Setting/Platinum/1793#

Significantly less expensive, although they would charge 125 for the prongs, and WF charges 100 to set their stone.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Don't go with Adiamor! Since you bought a diamond from WF. I choose a similar style as your and they charged extras moreover, the way they set my diamond was too low. I have been told them do not set low. Once you paid them, they don't want you to call them anymore. I am so regret to buy from them.

First one looks better imo

i just received my diamond set in Vatche U113 and it looks really good & close to tiffany.

Pave is expensive.

Just ask WF to make sure the prongs are thinned out and pointy. No need to look at another vendor. WF is great.

Definitely Vatche. Very high quality setting with a great warranty.

To me, that Vatche setting is way too expensive for what it is... I'd contact Caysie of CVB for a quote. She can do anything you'd like. :wavey:

as a fyi, markk: I expect Caysie van Bebber's quote for a platinum ring with pavé will be at least $1000 more than Whiteflash's price for the Vatché Felicity. E.g., CvB's 6-prong Elsa -- with pavé shoulders (which I happen to like, but your wife-to-be may want the pavé to extend farther along the shank) -- in platinum is $3095.
