Below are 2 different rings that both my gf and i like. We can not decide so if you guys could help me find a home for my 1.68ct round diamond it would be great.
IF you are going with Leon, I'd pick the three stone. Less maintenance, more practical for everyday wear. Looks fabulous with a shared prong eternity band. Classic and understated. Plus Leon's three stones settings are TDF! Plus it's easy to clean. And you are paying for diamonds more than labor.
I wouldn't get a three sided pave ring for an engageement ring period. It's not practical, and you can't wear a band next to it, and it requires more maintanence and care. And you can't clean in it an Ultra Sonic. You're also paying more for labor than the diamonds, in all likelihood.
ETA: Kaleigh's AV is exactly what I'm talking about though her set is Tiffany.
Gypsy your right on the diamonds on the side. I would have the sides flat and make it into a 3 ring design(2 bands) With the bands being 2 sided so that no diamonds would be hidden. Why wouldnt i be able to ultrasonic clean it?
I voted for the round with pears, but most of the ones we have seen here have center stones over 2 cts., so the look won''t quite be the same. I agree with everything Gypsy said about the halo ring...not practical for daily wear, can''t wear wedding band with it, etc.
I like the halo, but I''m more of a looks over practicality kind of girl. I think the idea you have about making it one sided and doing two bands is PERFECT. That''s what I plan to do with my halo. Do the halo!!!
