I tried wedding bands on today. I THINK I prefer the 2 thin bands, but I''m just not sure. These are cell pics and they look horrible (my diamond is not green I swear!!) but you get the idea.

First pic, I forget the carat weight but I think it''s around 70 points. g-h Si1 diamonds.

These two bands are .34 g/h si1 each as well. I have 3 pics.. They look super tight but my hands were getting puffy from pulling rings off and on all afternoon. So don''t worry about that.

I was thinking of just doing a plain band, but the diamonds are so pretty...

definitely like the smaller bands with your e-ring, but the bigger diamond band looks stunning on its own if you ever wanted to wear it on your R hand. i think your e-ring is more powerful with the smaller bling ;)

I know, I always thought I''d do a 5 stone band with .25 stones but it just seems to wash out the larger diamond.

The two small bands just result in a whole mess o'' sparkle w/no borders. I think your e-ring gets totally lost.

What about just ONE of the smaller size diamond bands, below the e-ring?

Your ring is one of my favorites on PS!

I think less is more in this case - the two thin bands don't balance your ring, in my opinion, and they add too much "shimmery" bling.

I like the first band -- but only one of those; two would overwhelm your hand, I think.

I think a plain 2 or 3 mm classic half-round band would be gorgeous, too, and then you could wear the first band with the plain band on days you don't want to wear your e-ring -- another nice option.

I did try that but I wasn''t sure. It was really hard to see the band. I was concerned it wasn''t thick enough for a stand alone band..

I guess if I got two, I would have many different ways to wear them, including just wearing 1 at a time... so much to think about

I do NOT like the two thin bands. I like a plain band for the wb and then get a diamond band with slightly smaller diamonds that the first picture later on for an anniversary.

When I was getting married I was like you and wanted diamonds on my WB the bigger the better! Just because I could. And I got a band like that and over time came to realize that it was too large and totally distracted from my e-ring. Now I prefer the plain band and add the eternity only on some occassions when I want a ultra blingy look! For daily wear, though, plain band all the way.

;) Thanks.. I also like the first band as well. Thankfully my budget (at least at that store) would not allow two of the bigger bands

That''s a good idea to do one band with a plain one as well.

Here is a picture of two silver bands I have I think they are 2.3mm each (the tiffany elsa peretti ones).. If I did more than one band, each one would need to be 2mm or less..

Anyway, this picture just gives an idea..

I prefer one band, I think it lets the diamond stand out more and screams "married". But I am not a fan of stacking, others love it.

I REALLY think this is the most common "mistake" people make re: wedding rings. What percentage of folks go on to actively regret their decision -- unknown.

I think it is easy to get caught up in the bling and the excitement of choosing a wedding band. I know that I did. But the reality is that in most daily wear situations an eternity or semi-eternity diamond band is not practical, and if you want to wear the eb all the time it becomes very impractical. I actually never wear my original wb anymore
15.gif
and am considering a reset that will see me wearing it more. I wear plain gold bands or my more recent half eternity with *smaller* diamonds, something I did not really consider at the time.

I''m definitely on the less is more bandwagon. My vote is for 1 plain wb.

I''m trying really hard to be objective here, but it''s difficult for me to do with my own rings!!! I think I might wear around a plain (silver) band in the house to see how I like that. I still want some sort of bling though... lol

I like both the larger stone band and the two. They are both great. I am not in the ''less is more'' camp at all. But I do like the option of more bling if I want it. I like the thin bands. I would probably get
both. Most of the time I would probably wear only one, but sometimes wear both. I would wear them stacked next to each other instead of one on each side. I think they, and your e-ring get dwarfed a bit.

The .70 point band is great but I might like a different setting of the stones, i.e. less metal. I think they would both work, but you sound like you are drawn to the thin bands.

ooops sorry, I thought there was metal in the stones of the band. My mistake. They are both great, IMHO!

I''m not loving either of those, to be honest.

Your three-stone is huge and a very busy, commanding piece! I think the diamond bands distract from it rather than enhance it.. I''d love to see a plain band, perhaps with one of the smaller eternities with the plain in between.

My vote is the two small bands. I love the symmetry and balance it give. PLUS the BING isn''t bad at all. I liked a more plan style when I got married but as I have gotten older I have wanted more BLING and flash. I say get thein BLING

HI:

No thank you to the three bands--not flattering and your ER disappeared. Single plain band or small slightlycurved diamond band.

cheers--Sharon

I agree with this, I don''t think either of the diamond bands does anything for your E-ring at all. I always think stacking works better with solitaires rather than three stones. If you really need diamond try somthing with alot more metal showing.

I have a three stone e-ring and predict that I will be in the same position as you in a few years- I want a blingy band but I just don''t think it will go as well as a plain band. Good luck.

NO FLANKING. Please, for the love of Golum, don''t sandwich that beautiful ering. The photo of the two plain bands was HORRIFYING to me! (keeping it real)

Why? Why? WHY?

There are some e-rings that look okay with flanking bands. But I would NEVER EVER EVER do it with your e-ring. It loses all its punch and flair & sinks into an abyss.

It takes a while to get used to the way your e-ring will look with a wedding band. HONESTLY it is a hard transition for very many of us. Maybe you''re feeling it just doesn''t look "right" with a single band but I swear you would get used to it quickly. Trying to gild the lily with two bands and be all symmetrical or whatever is SERIOUSLY detracting from the beauty of your ring. And that is no small feat. Trust!

LOL yes, the silver wider bands were a bit much..

man what I wouldn''t give for long slender fingers...

I agree!!! Your ring is pretty much most girls dream. BIG center stone and BIG side stone. I think the first one is the best of all the photos you have posted here, but not sure your best option. I LOVE the 5 stone and 3 stone style.

I think with your ring, which I LOVE, I'd prefer one plain thin wb or one thin eternity only.

Any chance you can post a photo of your e-ring with only one of the silver bands so we can have a visual?

Your e-ring is amazing!!! I`d go for either one thin diamond band or one plain band. (Or you can get both and switch based on daily desire for extra sparkle - that''s what I do
