Okay so I am going to be wearing light pink shoes with my dress. I just think its a cute little touch.

So where else should I incorporate pink in our look? (we are eloping with a photographer)

So when I think about my bouquet I think... pink
Okay so now pink shoes, pink bouquet.

Then I realize my man is going to be wearing a dark charcoal suit. He need some color in his shirt and tie, what''s my first though?--- PINK!

Then I see these earrings (see below)... which I can''t afford but I love the subtle pink and it got me looking for something similar.

And then there''s the cake..... I don''t want plain white.... so what other color does that leave me with?

It''s too much pink and it takes away from the "Cute little touch" look I was going for. So what pieces should be pink?

Maybe this obsession is because I don''t get to pick out colors for a "real" wedding or centerpieces or anything like that

I like the idea of a charcoal suit with a light(really faint) pink shirt and a slightly darker pink tie. That would be a unique color combo that would look good.

A light pink pashmina or vintage sweater would be cute over your dress in case it gets cold.

I am eloping too and instead of doing a big ass bouquet which is typically reserved for the more traditional type of ceremony...I am doing a small nosegay which is very popular in Europe. And if you do something small, then you can go brighter with pink or do somethign really wild.

I love the subtle pink touches, but to keep you from going overboard, I''m going to suggest you use a complimentary color for some things. Maybe a light blue, lilac, grass green or sage green, etc.

I think these types of colors would be especially nice for FI, in case he doesn''t want to wear a pink shirt and tie :)

How about a nice silver tie for FI''s charcoal suit. I think the touches of pink you have would look just beautiful with charcoal and silver....:) I know my Fi would not wear pink, especially on our wedding day...no matter how good it looked :)

Totally agree with NElady, and I like laura I would suggest silver or light grey as the accent. FI can wear a white shirt with a silver or light grey tie... and a WHITE boutineer with a PINK accent added to it (like a sprig of wax flower) and that can be his touch of pink. Keep your bouquet WITH pink, but not solid pink. Mix it with some white/ivory flowers and some silvery sage greens maybe. I love the earrings, so I think you should definitely find something similar.

Do SILVER accents on a white/ivory cake and add a small amount of pink, like on the top with some pink flowers.

I agree silver or light grey would look lovely.

Perfect! New plan- pink shoes, pink and white bouquet (mostly white with subtle pink). Bouquet will be small since I am eloping, probably like a BM''s bouquet... And my man can wear silver and white with his suit. If I can find some pretty earrings like the ones above I''ll wear them but I don''t think I will.

Thanks, everyone for helping me narrow that all down!

the newest martha stewart weddings magazine did a story on a pink and black color palette that was inspired by traditional cameo jewelry. i particularly liked the suit pictured--it had superlight, supersubtle pink pinstripes. my FI even liked it, and he flat out refused to let me use any pink in our wedding because he hates it so much! there''s images in the collection of the colors paired with both gold accents and with silver, so it might help you visualize the combos better. hope this helps!
