I''m looking for an engagement band. The band would be eternity style band (preferrably not full eternity) and the head would be a 6 prong tiffany style head. The band width would be in 2-2.5mm. I''d like for a wedding band to be able to sit flush against the engagement band, so no bulky base of the head on the e-ring.

I already have a center stone - it is 2.14ct G SI2.

I''ve looked ALL OVER the place. The best looking ring I''ve found is Michael B''s princess... but it has a 4 prong head. I have a custom designer willing to do this set for me, but I''m not thrilled about the wait or the $7000+ price tag for the set.

If this sounds like something you''ve seen, please let me know!

Thanks!

Which Michael B Princess? The 3 sided with the diamond prongs or the other?

I found this one:

Thank you for the suggestions. I really like the Michael B princess that isn't three-sided - without diamonds on the prongs.

The ID Jewelry piece looks nice, but I don't think the head allows a wedding band to sit flush next to it.

I had a meeting a few hours ago with a local jeweler that can forge or cast a setting that will work.

They're going to get back to me with some options next week. I'd still love to go with one that's already made where I have to worry a lot less about poor hand fabrication.

if you're not completely opposed to the 4 prong head, pearlmans has a michael b set for under 5K for both rings. depending on the diameter of your center stone and your ring size, it would be a super great deal. The quality of a michael b pave ring is second to none. Of course, if you really hate the 4 prongs than it's not a deal at all

Thanks Mrssalvo. The 6 prong thing is a deal breaker for me. Those four prongs make an RBC look like a square diamond. Michael B is what I originally wanted, I was just going to ask them to do a six prong head. Since I don''t expect them to be in my price range for a re-work of an already $7,000 set I just moved on to other designers that offer similar ideas.
