Hey guys and gals, I''ve been reading your forum for awhile now, and love how helpful everyone here is.

I''ve decided to propose to my girlfriend in February, and have begun my research for the perfect diamond and setting. I''m doing pretty well on the diamond aspect, and will probably be getting something around 85-90 points (approx.), as close to a perfect cut as I can find. It will be a Round Hearts & Arrows. My Trouble is finding the perfect setting, and I was hoping to tap the collective wisdom of this forum.

What I "think" I would really like would be a Tiffany-like classic setting, but with one twist. Approx. 3 small diamonds embedded in the ring on each side (maybe from large to small, smallest closest to the main stone). I think I want a 4 prong setting (but might go 6, I''m just worried about 6 overwhelming my diamond). Also, perhaps a taper in the ring toward the main stone as well to really bring it out.

Maybe I''m asking for too much, but thought I''d toss it out there to see if any of you had seen something similar in travels before I start looking into custom designs. Also, if you do/don''t like the design idea let me know.

Thanks in advance, and please feel free to ask questions if I wasn''t clear enough.

Here''s two from James Allen. This is the closest I could get to what I think you''re looking for. Hope that helps.

Oooo, I Really like the first James Allen one, and the first WF one. They're the closest thing so far to what I'd want. The only thing I think that could make James Allen one better would be if they were spaced a bit, and were more "inside" the ring... wish i knew the terminology. I'm imagining a classic style ring with 3 separate beams of light coming from within the ring along the sides.

"very picky I know," but if it's out there I'd like to find it ;)

I also realize that this will probably have to be a custom job, since it seems to be unique.

Wow, that''s definitely the type of thing I''m looking for. I might have to give him a call :)

Thanks SO much,

If anyone see''s others like this, PLEASE let me know.

This forum is great :)

You''re welcome! Glad I could help! Don''t forget to come back with pics once it''s done!
