I am looking for a pair close to 1 ct total weight without having to pay the premium for super Ideals so I’ve kind of narrowed it down to GIA triple Ex and used HCA scores of greater than 2as a rejection tool. My budget is 2000-2200 for the stones.
I contacted IDJ and told them I was looking for PS cut stones. And here is what they found me. One stone is still in transit to them.
Stone 1. G-SI1 with a table of 55%, depth of 61.3%. Crown angle is at 34 deg while the pavilion angle is 40.6. Scored 0.6 on the HCA. Slightly outside the AGS000 perimeter.
Stone 2. G-SI1 with a table of 56% depth of 60.2. Crown angle at 34 and pavilion at 40.8 degrees respectively. Scored 0.8 on the HCA.
Is this a good pair. They’re very close on measurement at about 5.17 mm.
What images should I request next to make a decision.
One of the stones has a faint fluorescence.
Does one stone being slightlyoutside the AGS000 range on the plot make a discernible difference to its sparkle?
Thank you for your expert advice.
