Since it is clear that I am a hairs breath from losing my mind I am super glad that I am going to NYC on Sat to look at settings with BG and FFF!
After looking through a gazillion settings I feel most drawn to the Ritani shared prong, the Micheal B princess petite and the Signed Pieces ring. I think I will be able to try on the first two on Sat but SP will be closed

When you try them, make sure to see if you can try them w/the type of stone you want to get.......

Ritani sets their rings with 3ct cz

I wish! The petite princess which I have tried on before as well was set with a one ct stone also a RB. Luckily for me I happen to want a RB, they are to me classic!

I am with Mara on this but I don''t really care for the Vatche either, specifically the one you posted Matatora. If you''re going get the three-sided pave, I''d go with the Michael B. It just looks more dainty and the stones seem to be set more precisely. Just my $.02 of course!

Signed Pieces has a really nice shared prong eternity style setting that I believe Demelza purchased. Seems like it was priced reasonably. And I think she was able to have the head set low in the band.

Good luck with your shopping!!!

I dont like the three side pave. It is just too busy when I see it on their web page...plus I already have a 3.4tcw pave band. I dont think I want my wedding set to look like anything friends have given me from the past. Too weird. So I guess I am down to:
Ritani Shared Prong
Facets Double Shared Prong
Micheal B Princess Petite
I really wish I could go see the facets one...does anyone know if they set stones?

Here is the link to Demelza ring/thread. You will find it here.

Oh wow!!!!

I love it it reminds me soo much of blue dawgs set...which I love but wont be having. (3k for just the setting but worth every penny I am sure). Is that the same one from the facets collection I mentioned in my other two posts?!?! Aww geez I am going to have to find someone to hit NYC with me during the day so I can see that ring.

Mata: Yes I think Demelza's is the same one that you posted from Facets.

They have seemingly two styles of sets: one with the engagement ring and two bands, and one with the engagement ring and a single band. I think both are beautiful! I have talked to the guys at Signed Pieces and they are very nice, and can answer your question about setting a stone.

I think we may be on to something with the Facets ring!

Oh this makes me so happy! And it is within our price range and everything!!!

I will definately be calling SP. I just did a quick search here on PS and those who have worked with them seem pleased with their purchases!

One drop I think you are right it looks like that one might be the one. Yippee! The Pricescope fairy strikes again!

Aww geez...I dont want to think about that.

Acutally I know I would never sodder my rings together becuase as others have said there are times I would only want to wear the wedding band. Hmmm. more to think about!

Maxine I just saw you set...Very NICE

Matatora,
i asked Bob at Wf about the rings damaging one and other when I purchased my eternity ring b/c I want the matching eternity e-ring for my upgrade. He agreed that over the long hall they can and probably will damage one another if you are extremely hard on them. that''s one of the reasons mara went'' with 4 prong, so the rings could sit flush without doing damage. anyway, for me, I love the rings so much it''s worth it. I''ll just be more careful with them and only wear the wedding band when i know i''m doing something that could hurt them. anyway, since you are planning on never changing you rings, the durablilty of the 2 rings together should be considered.

I don''t wear rings together much, but I am looking into a spacer band.....sounds like the best option......But you can check up front re: how much the stones would touch each other, and have them made accordingly???

I sent an e-mail to Signed Peices this morning, they replied and said that they will set stones from other vendors into their mountings.

Ritani sets their rings with 3ct cz

Hmmm, that''s funny. I have this setting and prior to purchasing it, I checked it out in about 4 different stores and the store where I purchased it from and I never saw it set with a 3 carat CZ. I think it would have deterred my purchasing it if I could only find it in a much larger size than what I own, because I would not be able to imagine it realistically.

Even the one on Bill Pearlman''s website (the link you posted) is not a 3 carat cz. It looks more like a 2 carat size.

I think the size of the band is misleading because it is so thin, and makes the diamond appear larger than it really is!

I remember one day when I went into a jewelry store, the salesperson noticed my ring and thought it was a 2.5 carat diamond!

I hope you do find the setting of your dreams!

Why not have Leon Mege or Mark Morrell custom make a ring for you? This way you get exactly what you want and get a truly one of a kind piece!!

I visited the signed pieces booth on 47th Street. They told me that in order to get the Raphael eternity setting, I would need to purchase the diamond from them. But that''s not the case for their other facets setting. The setting was lovely but I felt that the way the prongs were made it not that comfortable to wear.

I have been to three stores one in Tuscaloosa AL one in Birmingham AL and the last in Rochester NY all three of that desigen were set with what was told to me to be a 3cts cz...as far as I know different styles are set with diffrent size. And I think someof the ones with the halos might have had real diamonds but I didnt notice.

Aww I am sorry to hear that. It is tought finding a setting. I currently have a 2.80 eternity band that I wear and I find it comfy. I am intreasted in the "plain" facets setting. After all the eternity bands I have loooked up their for PSer I cannot belive it didnt occour to me to look for a setting there....I guess that is why there are soo many blonde jokes.

If you dont mind my asking what about the prongs felt off to you?
