OK- so now I have narrowed down my stone choices to 2 stones.. I need to find my setting- the only example I can find of it is on a fake diamond website.. I think it was a De Beers- or a Debeers copy. Anyone have any idea? Verragio Classico makes a similar one- but mine was more angular with a little bar at the end while theirs is more rounded. Thanks for the help.

I can''t get the picture here every time I download it I get an error message- sorry for the link

You could request custome quotes from WF and BGD? I have not seen that exact ring at any vendors I usually peruse.

That''s good advice- I am just afraid pf getting something cusotmer made and then not liking it. I want to be able to order it- look at it and not feel trapped..

I feel the same way. Are you set on an identical style to what you used to have?

Not identical- but similar will be OK. Just looking for something a little more channel set and angular than verragio- I''ve been looking for a month and can''t find anything!!

Not really sure what you mean by "angular" but here is a more "channel set" look....without the round diamonds. I'll keep looking...

There''s a pretty setting on the Scott Kay website (sorry...couldn''t find it on Pearlmans website....so no clickable link). But the item # is M1077BDRD. It''s more of a channel/prong set look....but it has the round diamonds. Thinking about it...I''m not sure how they could make baguettes and rounds look "right" in a channel set together...wouldn''t there be a pretty sizable gap between the different shapes??!!??

Sasha Primak proved me wrong!

I can''t get my mind around the description...is there any photo Here with Stardust That gets you close in definition?

Click to page two, the first image B1115. It is rounder or rolling more crowned that flat...were the baguettes are. Is that what you mean by rounder?

thanks- it is similar to the JA one you suggested here- the original post had a link to the setting that I want. I am looking for a little wider baguettes then a bar then a round. thanks everyone for all of your help- I am sorting through these now! I sincerely appreciate any help I can get. I''ve been looking for over a month now!!

this ritani is pretty- but I am looking for something a little heavier and plainer. I saw that one- very pretty and considered it- but my style is more simple and not quite as dainty.. going to check the scott kay one now.. His style is more my style than ritani or verragio

this is the ring:

Just need a platinum setting with real diamonds!!

that is as close to the setting as I have seen so far- just sligghlty fatter.. thanks everyone for the suggestions.. they are all beautiful. The clasic ritani and the scott kay are so pretty- I may just change my mind and go wiht one of them instead of my original ring..

found it

I like this one a lot too, but I think that the Ritani will make the center diamond look bigger because it is thinner shanked.

hmm the scott kay one and ritani are both beautiful.. probably nicer than what I had.. My husband just saw the ritani and was in love.. Just not sure f it''s too dainty. my style is very simple, plain like the Jeff Cooper style- just that setting wasn''t the ONE.. Again- you are all giving me great idea.. thanks so much! Please keep them coming!!

The ritani rings are thin, but they are still suibstantial. I know what you mean about "dainty". Pearlman''s carries Ritani and will send you a sample to try on if that helps you make up your mind! They may not have that exact ring though. I really love that Ritani, and I too prefer less dainty rings. But what I have concluded is that thinner bands, like the Ritani, really make the dimaond look bigger. And who doesn''t want that?

This is the closest I could find...like the ring from the OP but the pattern is backwards. If you like that style, look around the site, there are a couple more variations of that setting.

Hope I helped. Good luck!

Thanks- I seem to find a lot of these with the reversed pattern.. I can''t believe that my ring was so unique!! Does that mena I have no style no one else would even want what I had.. LOL. I seriously loved my ring.. Maybe just tell a jeweler that I want thm to un reverse the ring see what they say and look at the wax model...

hmm.. Another ritani contender.. just not sure about the knife edge..

If I am going to be flexible- Martin Flyr makes some nice ones at a good price point- I was hoping to keep the setting to about 2K..

That ritani is lovely, but I have heard many a time that a knife edge is not all that comfortable.

If you go with WG I know that many of the Ritani settings with PS discount from Pearlmans do indeed come in under 2k (I have asked for a number of quotes over the years). Food for thought.

thqnks for the info- much appreciate.. I didn''t know about the discount but I am definately going to go for platinum- maybe I can hope for under 3k?? Not sure if possible.. I will look at their website.. Do you know how the discount is calculated or do I just ask for it? thanks again- you have been so helpful to me..

You need to call and talk to Bill or Julian and tell them you are from PS. The discount will not be given over e-mail, only verbal. Often it is 10% to 20% depending on the item. They are really really nice and helpful and they are usued to dealing with picky PSers. I have never read a bad thing about them on PS and a lot of people work with them. I hope to as well one day

It will make up for the 1001 quotes I have asked for. LOL!
