help me find my dream OMC elongated warmer ideally 2.5 - 3 ct [or "spready"]

I love the photos as they are more close up and you can really see the lovely faceting!!

I was going to say she's a very good size as well and if you still plan on setting her in that faux bezel or collet setting it will appear even bigger!

Yes as far as natural diamonds go this is huge! The faceting is beautiful.

Welp, I'm a big fan.
I think it's a really beautiful stone, substantial without overwhelming, perfectly proportional on your hand and has the hand cut wonkiness I highly prize.
Plus, it's flouro is a very cool addition.

*I just personally wished it was even warmer as that's just my preference

Man alive, she is gorgeous!!!

Thanks all. You are definitely making me feel better about her size. I think the flourescence is cool...

I've named her Ariel

Now for settings. Wondering if there is a source for vintage settings??

Otherwise I am thinking claw bezel /collett with milgrain in platinum or white around center stone Then step French cuts on band in yellow gold plus floral/wheat engraved around band and center stone. Open basket ideas to show off her depth.

Hoping I'll have enough leftover $ for band either w French cuts or omcs (I love idea of elongated omcs on side)

thoughts?

I think it will not be possible to find a nice antique to fit those dimensions. Would be easier if round.

Came to say the same as Dreamer - will be hard to find a setting to fit. Best to go custom I think.

A collet would be fantastic with that stone.

i think so too!! hoping not too small for me lol. but with the money I saved, I can always add to the setting.

who do you all recommend do the setting? might have jocelyn do it. if i do should i see the stone first or just jump.

Joselyn has a great design eye and could help you if you need direction. If you have the design figured out, David Klass is the bench I would recommend.

you guys!!! look at this 8 carat!! omg... lolCOLLETT-BLACKENEDPLATINUM-LOVE.jpg

This setting design would really be nice for your stone tho. I love the split shank on the side too. Is this from wave antiques? I feel like I saw them post something recently like this and fell for the setting.
