Yes I did send him some inspo pics of his work. I didn't remember which were his though so I went back through.

I found one setting of his I adore. it's a halo but open basket. It could easily be a collett.

I think I want different side stones and the band below the collett. I found others of his that show that.

I am hoping I can afford a band as well. Either with stones that match the side stones. Or some small east-west old mine cuts.

I adore the more simple open basket ideas and I found a few of his.

Based on knowing I want the stone to seem bigger without looking like I'm trying to make it seem bigger [lol] and I want the band below the collett [I think] and the side stones in the band. and open basket, etc. Are these good to show him? I don't want to make it confusing.

Was just coming to say the same. It is best when you give the exact element of each example that you like.

If you don't want any diamonds anywhere but the shank, you can also say you don't want any melee, and be specific about the approx size sidetones you want in the shank.
