I got my new BGD ring today! It's so pretty and shiny but I can already tell that it is lonely. I've been married for 18 years, so I'm used to wearing a band with my ring. My old band won't work for a variety of reasons so I need a new one. It needs to be under $200 because in spent my entire budget and then some on my new ring. I'm looking at just a plain 2mm band from iweddingrings or eweddingbands. I also like the Etsy twist bands (or maybe both at some point). What do you think will look best? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I would LOVE the twist band!

Wow, what a lovely ring! Can you please give us some stats on the diamond (size, color, clarity) as well as your ring size?

I love the BGD trellis. It's so classic. They told me that a band could sit flush with this setting - is this true? I think it depends on how much bling you want, but my preference would be a plain 2mm band so you don't detract from the diamonds. If you want to add some visual interest, you could try a rose gold or yellow gold band.

Thanks everyone!

Ring Stats:
AGS 000
1.048 ct round
6.5mm x 6.5mm
J, VS2, sbf
bgd blue
grace 3 stone setting (not trellis - but I love the trellis setting too and was going to get but it was a custom for the pears)
ring size 9.75 (gasp!)

.5 ctw pears G/H

I do not know why I ever questioned getting a J colored stone. It is absolutely spectacular. I can see very little warmth from the side if I hold it just so in particular lighting, but it is as white as white can be from the top. It is SO sparkly! I understand when people say it looks like it is lit from within. Even in very low light it is flashing all the time and keeps catching my eye.

I think I'm going to order a 2mm knife edge band from JA for $205 and then for my next event (birthday/anniversary/whatever) I will get a twist band to wear between them. I need to try it on with my ring first and see how it goes. If I don't like it I'm going to send it back and get the rope or twist band.

I'm just going to come out and say it - I could not tell your ringer finger is a size 9.75 from that photo. The ring provides such great finger coverage! Did BGD find you J colored side stones to match? The side stones look like they match really well.

I agree that a J stone faces up really white. I have a J as well and I don't regret going down in color to go up in size. :)

The side stones are H or I (it might be in my paperwork somewhere). Denise (an absolute pleasure to work with btw!) said the would match them up but she never said what they decided on.

ETA: The invoice says the side stones are G/H

That's alovely ring!

have you considered checking DiamondBistro and Loupetroop for preloved bands?
