Help me find a (simple & elegant) setting!

Hi everyone! This is my very first post, so thanks for reading

My boyfriend and I have started looking at engagement rings...yay! I must now ask for you to please excuse any misuse of diamond terminology on my part, as I am completely new at this...

I''m looking for the perfect setting. My tastes run simple and elegant. Ideally, I would like an extremely thin micropave band and a setting that allows the diamond to sit more flush with the rest of the ring rather than stick really far out (I''m a bit clumsy sometimes so I''m afraid of knocking the diamond into walls or having it snag on my clothes). From what I''ve seen so far, I love the look of Ritani''s Bella Vita and especially the Danhov ME29. However, I was wondering if there are any settings out there that are similar to the above but do not have a halo around the center stone?

Have you looked at Michael B''s Petite Princess? The band is 2.0mm thick and his craftsmanship is exquisite! This was the first ring I looked at and my boyfriend''s favorite!
