If you have $11,00 to spend what would you get right now?

I''d appreciate any links or contact info.

Right now I''m leaning toward a 1.43 H VS1 Eighternity. Reason is I want a "brand name" diamond and something a little different than what all her friends have on now.
I''ve just started looking a couple of weeks ago. Still not sure what all the percentages mean. Seen a couple of diamonds at the mall stores. So far only impressed with Hearts on Fire at Jared. But their price is really high ($14,000 for a 1.233).

I want to make sure I don''t miss anything else out there.

Thanks

I''d go down on clarity a bit and check out AGS ideals to see how they compare to branded stones for you. Personally, I wouldn''t pay the premium for branding and go up in size instead. It was pretty much our budget and we went with a 1.6 hearts&arrows AGS ideal stone.

61.3% depth, 57% table, 35.5° crown angle, 40.5° pavilion angle

There''s a lot of focus being placed on cut cut cut cut with these responses... and I almost agree with some of them. Except for the color your sacrificing. If you were to match up two 1.50 ct... one at an AGS H&A I color VS1 and the other a GIA or even EGL Excellent or VG E or F VS2 or SI, I''d bet you be able to see the color difference most. Now factor in the $$ that your saving on the certification and H&A title. Maybe you can go bigger if you want, or spend a little more on the It comes down to what you want to spend your money on. Your eyes don''t lie... test them to see where the perfect synergy with specs and $$''s lie with you.

If you are looking for something different and at the same time one of the most beautifully cut diamonds you will have absolutely no regrets with an Eighternity. My suggestion is to see both side by side (perhaps an H&A next to an Eighternity) and let your eyes decide. Most carriers of Eighternity also carry H&A''s so whomever you are looking at diamonds with can probably accommodate you with either and ship both to ya for an examination if you do indeed want to make that comparison. My .02c If you want to forego 57 facet rounds altogether then perhaps a comparison with an Eighternity and a Star129 or a Solasfera may interest you more. These are other modified rounds that are cut with light performance in mind.

From the sentence above I guess your friends wear rounds. How about some pther shape ?

Otherwise, something brilliant near 1.5 cts sounds perfect!
