Hi there! First time poster, and first time diamond buyer. I am looking to find a 1.5-2.0carat oval natural diamond for an engagement ring. I've gone down the rabbit-hole of research and have been looking for an AGS "ideal cut" oval, however, there are not many options. The only one I could find was a Brian Gavin one https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/...roducts/1-52-f-si1-brian-gavin-signature-oval.
Price: 10k
Color: D-F
Clarity: VS2+
I have also heard ideal cuts really help with color and cut, so I am open to recommendations outside of the above color and clarity. I am looking for the best shine, sparkle, brightness.
Thanks in advance!

HI:

Did you look at Distinctive Gems?

cheers--Sharon

Hi Sharon - Thank you for the recommendation. Yes, I've looked at Distinctive Gems but their selections does not have the color and clarity than what I am looking for.

If I'm not mistaken only DG and BG have AGS Ideal Cut ovals

Bump! Any recommendations?

For AGS ideal in OVAL shape you need to get branded stone (like BG) - Most Ovals are GIA certified and GIA does not assign a cut grade to Ovals.

Thanks for the recommendations!

What are everyone's thought on these?

Did you consider the stone canuk-gal has for sale?

Yes, I looked at the DG stone. A phenomenal deal but had more inclusions than I would like. I am open to non-ideal stones as well - any recommendations?

For clarification--I reposted this (for sale thread) from preloved. It is not my stone.
