Help Me Find A Great Diamond Band For Cheap!

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend to help out with a nice diamond band search.

Here is what she is looking for:

5 stone ring (this will symbolize 5 years she has been with her SO)..although if there is a fabulous band with a few more diamonds, I don't think she will have a problem with this!
preferably bezel set round diamonds
$500 or under
ring size is 8.25-8.5

I think she prefers white metals, but at this point she is mainly looking for a great deal! Annnnd GO!

Um. Budget might be beyond unrealistic.
 
Yeah, $500 is about what a cheap gold setting would cost. She might be able to find something with inexpensive colored stones, but the diamonds would be very tiny at that price!
 
For $500 you might get a 5 stone with 1/2ctw used. Even then that would be a stretch.
 
$575 http://diamondbistro.com/index.php?a=2&b=33484 and would have to be reshanked to get it up to a size 8, so probably at least $700 all together if you found a cheap bench to resize it.

There are a few things within budget on ebay, but with lousy photos,so it would be a big risk.
 
That's a great option if it can be sized.
 
On ebay, clares1225 often has vintage five-stone rings that sell for $500 or less, but typically not bezel set. They're usually yellow gold and OEC or OMC. You might find something interesting there.

diamonds11 is another ebay vendor that has really reasonably priced rings.

A year or so ago, I found a 6-stone OEC in platinum, size 8.5 for less than $500 (I think). The diamonds aren't large, but they're not teeny-tiny, either, and they are very sparkly.

Bezel set may be a challenge...

newyorkestate jewelry.com has a platinum 5 stone in size 8 at $525 (not bezel, but it's a start. You'll need to put some time into this and be patient).

Also try diamond zone in Chicago. At that price you'll need the 2nd hand market, but it is doable!! Believe me, I've snapped up quite a few eBay bargains at $500 +/-. Look for tons of transactions, all positive feedback and a return policy. Good luck!

The DB site has been down most of today, I think that's what it is. If it comes back up, the ring is a lovely oec 5 stone in platinum and 18kyg.

I have a platinum 1.25 ct 5 stone - $400 on eBay. Very nice diamonds.
I recently got my friend a platinum 1 ct 7 stone - $398 on eBay. Very nice diamonds.

Completely doable on eBay.
 
Yekutiel at IDJ could probably do a bezeled round eternity stacker within that budget.
