Help me decide which WF setting looks better

I am having trouble deciding which setting looks better. I use whiteflash's legato micropave as a base and decided to make some modifications to it, heart prongs and a kite setting. The problem is setting the head with heart prongs and I seem have only 2 options

1. Regular type prongs and have the diamond set low so the height of the ring is a small as can be. This looks like what the regular legato micropave ring looks like.

2. Have heart prongs, but the diamond has to be set much higher. You'll notice a bigger gap between the tip of the diamond cutlet and the band. It's "floating" much higher and the "W" part of the head seems much more elongated.

I really wish I could have both heart prongs and a very low set, but it seems to be either one way or another. It would be perfect if the ring was just lowered a bit in the second picture. Anyways, which one do you think looks better?

To be honest, I vastly prefer the regular prongs over the heart prongs. I don't like the one with heart prongs at all. (And just to give you one more opinion, I really like the Legato Sleekline setting even better than this one!)

I like the regular ones better~

omg diamondseeker2006, I totally agree with you! I love that setting, it's the one that I was going to get but I want the six prong instead which they'd have to custom make it so I went with jamesallen =)

Definitely the regular prongs! The heart prongs look somewhat out of place. I also prefer the Legato Sleek Line (solitaire, no pave) and Sleek Line Pave over this setting. The Sleek Line settings have a tapered cathedral shank that rises up to meet the head. This setting, on the other hand, always just seemed like the diamond was awkwardly placed on top of the shank. It just doesn't flow as well to my eyes. Apologies to anyone who has this setting and loves it, of course...this is just one person's opinion!

If you like the heart prongs, have you looked at the W-prong? I am not a fan of settings in which the head is not integrated,
and just sits on top. For that reason, I wouldn't choose either of those settings personally.

I agree with jstar. I'm not a fan of the heart prongs, ever, so that biases my opinion. I think the Legato Sleek Line is much more elegant than these settings, as well.

I like the first one better. I am also a huge fan of the cathedral style setting, but if you aren't, I'd stick with the first design.

I like the first one MUCH MUCH better, not a fan of the heart prongs at all.

Regular prongs! Just overall, much less bulky.

Ditto -- integrated head, no heart prongs, much more classic and flattering look.
