Help me decide which stone for this setting

I bought this 18k gold setting with white and yellow diamonds without knowing which stone to go in it. I tend to overthink things, sometimes to the degree of analysis paralysis. So, opinions please!

1. My Paraiba, because it's a sin that I've had it for more than a decade unset!

2. My bi-color unheated Montana sapphire, same reason as above!

3. My marquis Chrysoberyl. Because I don't have much yellow gold, and I think it looks pretty with it.

Thank you for your opinion. I thought it looked nice too, but its funny because I actually was thinking people were going to respond and say Chrysoberyl isn't an expensive enough stone for that setting!

The chrysoberyl looks 100% perfect. I think the setting is too elaborate for the paraiba and the two-tone colors of the setting make the sapphire look unbalanced. But the chrysoberyl's yellow works beautifully with the yellow in the setting, and it comes together as a unified whole. That's definitely my vote!

haha I am a total newbie, I have no idea on value of chrysoberyl! And I am in the camp of no problem with fine setting for inexpensive gem. I guess I would count this as an unbiased opinion

Chrysoberyl for sure, it’s gorgeous plus hardness alone makes it a durable choice for your setting.

The Paraiba deserves a custom setting that suits a pear. Yes, it’s a sin not to set it, make it happen!

Wow, thanks everyone! I agree with the consensus that the shape is wrong for the paraiba. She deserves a custom setting since she's been s lady in waiting so long! Ha

I woke up this morning and pulled them back out. I have realized that my hesitation with the Chryso is that my e-ring to my 1st husband was a marquis that I wore for 17 years. It just reminds me too much.

So what do you ladies think of these? Here it is with my other Chrysoberyl, and also a tanzanite. The tanzi is more blue IRL, but it is one that blue, purple, and green can all be seen.

I like the chrysoberyl, but I think the size and shape of the bi-color Montana sapphire is perfect for this setting. You can set oval or marquis chrysoberyls with other simpler settings.

Another outlier who LOVES the bicolor sapphire in that setting. It's my favorite of all the options, even including the new ones.

Tanzi for me for the contrast. The new chryso has just too little contrast or match with the YG and white diamonds.

My vote is for the bi-color sapphire. I love the way the yellow in the stone ties together with the yellow in the setting. It looks meant to be to my eye . My second choice would be the tanzanite.

That is a beautiful and unusual setting and I love the bi-color sapphire in it because it is a beautiful and unusual stone. I think the other stones need simpler settings. The marquis chrysoberyl looks cool in it because of the unusual cut, but the other stones kind of get lost in the setting.

Now I would vote for the bicolor sapphire. Second choice would be the tanzi. I do not think the pale yellow chryso goes with rich yellow gold.

Given the second set of options, the oval tanzanite is my favorite and the bi-color sapphire is my second favorite.
