I cannot decide for the life of me if I should get an I or J colored center stone for my halo ering. The setting is a yellow gold Halo (4 yellow gold prongs) with diamonds around the halo but not the band.

I'm going to go with either an eye clean SI1 or SI2, and either a very good or excellent cut.
Size is the most important to me, but not if my diamond is going to look yellow. Our budget won't allow for an H color, so it is I or J. Is there a difference visually? Because there sure seems to be in price!
From what I have seen and I have done a ton of research, it looks like I can get a 1.1 I or a 1.2 J for about the same price. I have read that around 1.2 is when the diamond starts to look visually bigger than say a 1.0, so was hoping to go with that size.

Which would be best and what does everything think of a J color in yellow gold? Thanks!!

I would see if you can find a J with florescence as that will help counteract some of the warmth, but face up it should still we fairly white. Also consider asking whoever's making the halo setting to use lower color melee if possible. That will help if there is any color disparity.
