Okayyyy after jumping on Pricescope and shopping around for the last few months I've decided to go down the custom made e-ring route. I've followed the journeys of you lovely ladies and would love your help on mine.

From the selection of the final design to finding the stone and perfecting the CAD drawings - I would love your advice.

First comes first - I'm stuck on two different designs; Hilary Duff's blingy radiant with side stones and the other is the classic Tiffany's princess cut on knife edge setting.

If anyone has any other designs out there that I may not have thought of then by all means contribute! But your vote on either of my two faces would be ideal.

I've had to borrow someone's PIC of the Tiffany to show what it looks like but in either setting, the centre stone will be 2ct - 3cts depending on quality/price. Thanks in advance!

Both are pretty, but quite different styles (pave vs non, solitaire vs 3 stone). Have you tried on anything yourself?

You could combine elements from both that you like. For example: princess cut ring with trapezoid side stones.

Hi pandabee, I tried on the solitaire at Tiffany's and fell in love with how much the plain band focus the eyes on the centre stone. The other ring I found something similar at Charles Rose and it did look a little big for my size 5 hands so I might be forced to bring the size down a bit :)

Great idea Elliott 86. Love the pic, that is a gorgeous ring!

Hillary Duffs ring is ( or shall I now say was) amazing! So is the ring Elliot86 came up with.

Hilary Duff for the win for me. I think that if you can get that same proportionality or close to it, you will have a winner. Just elegant enough to be classy, but with enough interest to be eye-catching (in a good way).

One of my former bosses had a 2 carat princess in that style of Tiffany setting. It was nice enough, but very understated.. to the point that no one (except the diamond obsessed) noticed it at all. Which I thought was a waste because the stone itself was gorgeous. It really needed a pave shank (or something) to make it shine more.

That ring that Elliot posted would be my choice (with a solasfera princess from GOG) .

I like this look personally. I think the elongated radiant is more flattering to the hand in that size center.

Thanks everyone, your opinions are greatly appreciated, I knew you'd come to my aid. Our budget for the stone and setting would max out at $20 - $25k but I could push it to $30k if I really need to. FH just wants me to be happy which makes me love him even more!

I am really loving the elongated radiant because of my teeny size 5 hands. I'll go to Charles Rose to try on something similar and I'll send a PIC through for comment. I'll also get a pic of the princess from there too for comparison but either way I think I'm set on this pave band thing! :)
