I don’t particularly care for any of these because of the prominent bow ties combined with the crushed ice look.

I’ll try to find some.

Thanks For your insight.

Right now I'm going back and forth on these two

https://www.augustvintageinc.net/collections/opulence/products/1-51ct-f-vs2-elique-oval-1679151

Dont want the bowtie effect, or at least keep it to a minimum, L/W 1.35-1.5, D-F, VS2+, and FIRE!

Budget is $15k USD including $1k for the ring itself.

I do like both of these. The adiamor price is hard to resist

But if you want no bow tie and do want fire, August vintage is where to go.

That's my thinking too. Whats your critique on the adiamor diamond? What would make you not want it or hesitate? Thanks

You might want to confirm with Jonathan at August Vintage that he can provide a pave setting like the ones from James Allen that you posted and still keep the ring within your budget. That might help you decide.

I like both of your choices! I think that if you want zero bowtie and tons of fire then AV is the way to go. I agree with @whitewave that the adiamor one looks great also, but the AV is seriously the best oval out there right now (IMHO), and I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. But it's worth asking Jonathan what he has for settings that will make it more budget friendly (like JA options).

Here's where I am right now.

this setting:
https://www.adiamor.com/Engagement-Rings/Pave/3-Row-Micropave-Basket-Ring-2mm/Platinum/1950

or

https://www.adiamor.com/Engagement-Rings/Solitaire/Basket-Solitaire-Setting-17mm/Platinum/1930

I'll be honest i love the brilliance in the AV, but the Adiamor looks great especially the size, and its cheaper.

My GF finger is 5.25. Shes conservative, early 30s, prefers platinum, so I'm leaning to the solitaire, but the pave is attractive. And she wants me to pick everything to surprise her. lol.... I appreciate all the help I can get.

I wouldn't pick the 3 row pave. It'll be impossible to wear a wedding band without damaging the stones.

I’d get a solitaire unless she specifically requested pave. That three row pave will rub against a wedding band, bad news
