After you commented on my thread, I had to hunt down your post about your DG ring. This is going to be amazing, I love the setting you picked out too!

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to get it!!

I chose 6-prong because I actually like enhancing the roundness of a round diamond. I also love rounds in 8 prongs, kind of the opposite of your aesthetic.

I love your setting and AVR from DG as well! It’s one of the threads I bookmarked for inspiration!

Hi all! Just got my preview pictures. This is my first custom piece, so I would appreciate some additional eyes on it. Does everything look good? Any revisions suggested? I have also asked for a photo of it straight, head-on, because the top right prong looks to be at a slight angle, but it just might be the angle of the photos. I also asked for it to be comfort-fit inside, and I can't really tell from the photo, so I am verifying that as well. Thank you!
Edited to add: Confirmed it is comfort-fit. Added additional head-on photos. Would appreciate any comments, especially on prong placement!

Looks beautiful!

Thank you! Vicki was very responsive to my concern and is having their local bench take a look at the prongs to make sure they are all perfectly aligned before mailing it out.

And BTW, the prongs were perfect all along; it just that one photo angle that threw me off.

wow this is gorgeous! I'm looking at MMD from DG now and this is excellent work!
I highly recommend them for the peace of mind that comes with knowing it’s been vetted by a professional who actually has the stone in hand.

It’s gorgeous! Do you know the mm width of the band? The one I have now for my solitaire feels so thick.

Thank you! Jonathan called it a “slim cathedral shank graduating from 1mm wide at the top to 2mm at the sides.” It’s also a comfort-fit.

That’s a nice size. Mine is a comfort fit too and I think it keeps it from spinning. I’m trying on rings next week to look at carat sizes I’m definitely considering rhinos stones. I see so many I like.

Have fun! My budget kept me at this size, but I wouldn’t have minded going a little bigger! He does have a lot of nice stones in his inventory.

It came out absolutely gorgeous! You did an amazing job designing it, all the elements work so beautifully together. Those tiny claw prongs though :kiss2:
