help me choose a ring for her?

hey guys,

this is my first post in this forum,
and I have a question.

I''m not entirely sure if this is the right thread for it,

but anyways.

I want to get my girlfriend a ring,

but she has a size 4 ring finger.

I have about $200 that I can spend, I might be able to pull off $250.

I''d like it to be a diamond ring, and be on either silver or white gold.

Now, I''ve found some pretty nice looking rings at Tiffany''s and such, but the smallest ring size is usually 5 or 6.

I''ve heard that sterling silver cannot be resized, is this true?


But anyway - if anyone can suggest something for me, I would be eternally grateful.

Silver can be resized just as easily as the other precious metals (and much easier than platinum). Some designs, however, aren''t easily sized and sometimes stone settings can be troublesome as well.

Because of the soaring price of gold, it is now easier to find diamonds set in silver. Considering your budget, I thnk you could find something nice in etsy (onegarnetgirl, heartofwater, Patrick and several others have done beautiful work for PSers).

Stacking rings are really big right now. Maybe you could get her one with a diamond on it then 2 plain silver ones (one for
each side or however she wants to wear it).
