Re: Why does this K look whiter than this I ?

it's most likely just the lighting.

Thanks

So in term of color, I should just go with GIA rating right?

Since you can't see the ASET, Idealscope or megascope...I would go with one of these proven performers:

This 1.15c K vs AVR would be my choice... compare the AVR to MRB's...they face up a lot brighter even in the lower color than the MRB H &A:
Seeing is believing!

L color AVR vs I color MRB Hearts and Arrows vs. J color AVC:

Is there some reason why you want to go with the vendor you posted? There are a lot of other vendors who will do ASETs and Idealscope images to prove the performance of the stone. A picture of the stone does not prove there is not a lot of leakage although the stones you posted both look nice.

For the price and size the 1.15 K would be an amazing stone ...the chunky faceting and brightness will be diff. than any other MRB stone out there.

They do face up very white, because they are extremely well cut. I would not go so far as to say they "out-whiten" a precision cut MRB. Older style cuts tend to intensify body color most of the time.

That said, I love AVR's and they are a wonderful choice if you are looking for something unique! But if you do stick with a MRB, please buy from someone who can provide essential information about it's light performance.

Zoara does sometimes have actual ASET or simulated IS/ASET. Not that you need it for that particular one. Sorry, no idea about the color difference, I would assume it is a photography thing.

@ariel and @ecf: Thanks for showing me the AVR cut, i was aware of it but did not look into it. After watching that video, AVR to me looks like a beautiful flower in full bloom but there is some thing about the MRB that I cant get over. I seem to be able to look deeper inside the diamond in the MRB cut.

@JulieN: when I requested the ASET, the rep I was chatting to told me that ASET is only for brick and mortar store. I dont want to argue sine I am not knowledgeable enough but I know most of the reputable sellers here have ASETs.

As of now, Ill just wait for the diamond from Zoara to see how it is.

Thanks you all

Many do prefer the faceting of a MRB. But many have never seen a well cut OEC before. Interesting to see the diff.

Hopefully your stone will be awesome.
