Help me assess these pearls?

I've found this strand on an auction site, the auction finishes tomorrow and I cannot view the pearls before purchase, or return them for any reason (these conditions are normal for this site).

They are listed as pink pearls with a gold clasp. Questions:

- do you think they will appear truly pink or more towards peach coloured?
- the lustre appears variable, is it just me?
- I think they look like genuine freshwaters, what do you think?
- any concerns or comments?

Thank you!

Light peach. One of those photos has a background that looks bluish. If you correct for a whiter background, the pearls are seen to be a warmer shade.
The light makes it hard to judge luster.
The clasp is a generic fish hook.
And yes, freshwaters.

You might rather get a strand from Pearl Paradise or etc. That way you can have a choice of grades, sizes and shades and they'd be freshly strung, plus return privileges. No idea how their prices compare with that auction's though.

They do look like genuine FWP.

But pearl coloring is devilishly difficult to gauge as they change depending on lighting conditions in IRL, and online, they also vary according to the camera used to take the photos and/or whatever photo editing wizardry applied

Thank you, yes, I have considered them. Unfortunately, not being in the US, shipping and currency conversions do add a significant amount to the cost.
