Help! Matching wedding ring to engagement ring

I recently had my engagement ring reset to look like this......(this is actually a photo of someone else''s ring from here but is the nearest I can find - my ring is based on Theo Fennell design - Reveal)... My band is the same height and width all the way round...

I have a plain wedding band (already made) and have now realised that it won''t sit flush against my engagement ring. Do you think it would be easy and fairly cheap for a jeweller to make my engagement ring like this - a full band all the way round and then resit the cup with the diamond on top?? Then the setting would be higher and the wedding band would sit flush!

Any opinions or advice gratefully received....

actually, i think it would be easier to have the jeweler make a w-band that conforms to the e-ring instead of altering the e-ring itself.
