Help! L-O-V-E this Round Brilliant setting- Where to Find?!

Help! I found this setting online through another message-board website and am in love with it. My bf purchased a 2 carat round diamond (he really wanted me to have a round diamond) BUT I have always loved the look of a cushion cut and I think this setting gives an amazing compromise/like the illusion of a true cushion...does anybody know of any real-life pictures of a diamond in a setting like this? Or can anyone show me any alternative settings that might be similar to this style?

You can make an octagon halo for a round.

Thanks, I actually would almost prefer that it not be octagon--I like the rounded edges of the cushion cut, but do you see how the pave diamonds are not right up against the diamond? I have never seen anything like that before, have you ever seen this type of setting with more rounded/cushion like edges?

Go custom.

Yes, you actually would ask for the diamond itself to be bezeled, then pave around that. I also recommend looking into going custom if this is what you are really looking for. Its a very pretty design!

Thanks ladies for your response, and the link to that posting was very helpful. Is the diamond in the photo I posted considered a bezel set? It looks like there is almost a plating or something around it. If not a bezel, do you know what this might be called?

Also, just wondering and/or dreaming-- IF I went the custom route, do you think it would be possible to make that plating mirrored so it would reflect light off the center diamond even more making it even more sparkly?!

Yes, that is called a bezel (the metal "rim" around the actual stone). Don't know what you mean by a "mirrored" look, I would probably try to keep the bezel plain or you could go with a slight milgrain (just like Quest did for Brightspot's ring). So pretty!

I wouldn't use Quest. I would contact Singlestone. Or alternately I'd talk to Pearlmans and see if Beverly K would be interested in making you something like that.

If you don't want to go the 100% custom route I do know that Beverly K does do notifications to their settings if you wanted to inquire about that possibility.

Here are a few that are similar that could probably work Keep in mind if you want them bezel set I'm pretty sure that's a modification that they can do for you.
