Hi All,

My mom is turning 60 in March. I would love to surprise her with a special diamond pendant. I am searching for a beautiful
Old European Cut diamond.

Size: 1/2 to 3/4 carat
Color- no lower than I or J facing up very white with very little noticeable body color
Clarity: no lower than VS2 mind clean thing....
Very little light leakage, smaller table, pretty flower pattern
Budget- 4K max for diamond

I think I am leaning towards a setting as follows but am open to other ideas. Thanks so much !

Nevermind, just saw your budget is 4k, looking...

I'd probably recommend this:

those stones face up SO white!!! (They have videos of stones lower in color that face up so white). It's under budget, a bit bigger and IF clarity, which I get you don't need, but it's unique in a all ways.

Thanks 04diamond<3 ! My mom is quite color sensitive so an M will probably be too creamy for her. It's definitely a pretty stone though. Thank you for your suggestion :)

Just wanted to say that I think that is a fabulous gift! She will love it!

Thanks Gypsy I will definitely look into this stone. Thanks Diamondseeker, I really hope she likes it.

arkieb1- I have been considering that very stone!

It's beautiful if she likes white diamonds I think it would make a stunning pendant!!!!

That's a really nice stone too!!

What a fabulous gift!!!
I love the Victor Canera OEC

Maybe I'm just being too picky but I just don't know if I've found " the one " :(

What do you like? OEC, EC, tranny? I understand that you can't necessarily be too picky the way that you can with MRB's but perhaps narrowing down the look may help.

I love the look of OECs but I don't like that some form a Maltese cross in the center so it looks a bit dark. Some have that bubbly look that I'm not in love with either. I like OECs and tranny's that form more of a flower pattern. I'm torn because I love the natural beauty of vintage OEC and transitional cuts however I don't have a lot of time to sort through tons of them to find one that has great light performance too. August Vintage Rounds and Canera European cuts are great for that reason but lack that uniqueness and organic feeling of an older cut stone. Ughh :(
