help in finding me a setting...

Hi,

I am having great difficulty finding the setting that I want (I dont know why - I dont think that what i want is THAT unusual) so I was hoping that you wonderful pricescopers would be able to point me in the right direction. I have looked far and wide and have accepted that I will have to go custom (which I am exploring with JA), but I would like to avoid it if possible so just double checking. I am looking for:
-comfort fit band
-cathedral, tapered shoulders with bead-set melee and milgrain adjacent to melee
-approx 2.4mm width band
-band in rose gold with a platinum head
-6 prong setting
-to fit a 1.3ct rbc

Any ideas?? I can usually find a combination of a few of the above, but never all of them together (eg bead set cathedral but 4 prong and no milgrain).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Also, on a separate note, if I am buying a rbc sight unseen (I live in Australia so returning a diamond involve considerable shipping cost), do you think it is important for me to have an ASSET image?

Wow, those are all very pretty! It's almost like you know me, the first one from AntqueJewerymall is my favorite, wish I would have known about that site months ago, could have saved lot's of time and money.

Dang, good job, looks like you found her the perfect ring? I was checking out that site and it seems adding a 6 prong would be so easy and not a problem at all.

I think I responded to a post that was meant for you from iluvdiamonds2, I'm still figuring this site out and when I looked at the rings she posted I did really like them so they seemed for me, then after already posting a response I realized it didn't make sense that it would have been a message to me. I'm really not weird I promise, just not good with this type of site yet.

So anyways, since I'm mailing you I do have to ask, what do you think of the ring nielseel found for you from Brian Gavin?

Hi all,

Thanks so much for the responses! I thought no one had replied so I didnt check my post for a few days

The reason that I didnt want to go custom was because I'm a bit nervous it wont turn out how I expect, and then I wouldnt be able to return it (as it is a custom).

So difficult!

The BG one is very close, but its still missing a few elements that I wanted... I have emailed them to see if they can make the adjustments that I want.

The other issue was that I wanted to buy a diamond from GOG (I like the analysis that they provide which means that I am more likely to be happy when I get to finally see it in person for myself, making it less likely that I will need to go through the hassle of returning it [since i live in australia]). And ideally I would like to buy the setting and diamond from the same place so that I dont have to worry about not being insured for damage during the setting process.

Well I can understand your concern about not seeing it in person but I think a high quality BGD stone is going to look just as good as an H&A one from GOG. and I know that setting didn't fit all your criteria, but a head change I don't think counts a custom. I know it doesn't with JA.
