Hi everyone,

First time poster here! I'm currently looking for a diamond engagement ring for my girlfriend. She has shown a like to oval diamonds, and I've been looking keanly on Blue Nile, James Allen, Adamoir and Rarecarat.

Budget: $10000 USD
Preferable carat: 1.35-1.5 (bigger the better)
Color: G or better
Clarity: Eye clean SI1 or better

So far I've picked out these, thoughts?

In terms of setting, she likes the halo pave setting

Thanks in advance

Have you confirmed with the company that they are indeed 100% eye clean? Also, the first one that is F color with fluorescence would be a concern for me unless I saw it in person. Fluorescence in an F color diamond could cause it to look hazy/milky. It’s less of a concern when you hit the I color or lower as it actually helps the diamond look whiter.

Can you get Asets for these stones? Oval asets are not pretty. Just one more tool though. These both look to have decent faceting through the center
(wide) that will return light nicely. For some reason, that I am unable to explain, I am drawn to the first one. However, as others have
stated, make sure it is eye-clean and fluorescence is not an issue.

Edit...if the first one is not eye-clean I also like the second one.

I prefer the cut of the first diamond but would ask if the inclusions were visible and at what distance. Fluorescence is rarely an issue but would request the diamond be examined to determine that there is no effect. Fluorescence will negatively affect resale value if the intended wearer is planning on upgrading in the future.
