Hello PSers,

I need your help in choosing the best wedding band for the value, both are similar in style but there''s a significant price difference between the two.

#1: Five-Stone Eternity Diamond Wedding Band from WF: http://www.whiteflash.com/Wedding_Bands/5-Stone-Shared-Prong-Diamond-Band_935.htm
Price $1,750
Description: 5-stone wedding band in platinum with .50 ctw of ACA (F/G, VS), band 3.2mm tapering to 2.4mm.

#2 Seven-Stone Common Prong Wedding Band from JamesAllen: http://www.jamesallen.com/wedding-and-anniversary/womens-wedding-rings/ring/item_63-1891.asp
Price $1,175
Description: 7-stone wedding band in platinum with .47 ctw (G/H, VS2, SI1), band 1.1mm to 2.7mm.

With the WF band, I know I''m getting larger diamonds, slightly larger carat weight, ACA quality, and more platinum, but is it worth the extra $$$. The JamesAllen band is 33% less expensive than the WF ring.

Your opinion is appreciated! Thanks.

I can't comment on the JA ring as I haven't bought anything from there yet. I have got a setting from WF with 1pt ACA melee in it and they sparkle like mad. Even though they are tiny they are super blingy!

I would choose the WF ring.

For me personally I would not put a 5 stone or 7 stone shared-prong next to that ering. I wouldn't want the edges of the stones on the wedding band scraping against the pave of the ering. I don't think everything has to match but for me, these two don't work.

Both of your rings are gorgeous!

WOWZA on both those rings Joe! But I have to agree with swingirl. I wouldnt put a 5/7 stone up against that setting. Are you open to
other ideas? I''ll look around and see what I can find....hopefully others will make some suggestions too.

BTW, her ring is TDF!

Thanks everyone for the compliments and advice

I forgot to mention her wedding band would be on her opposite finger from her engagement ring. Because of the 3-side pave and the width of her engagement ring, we decided it would be best to put the wedding band on her opposite hand.

Another option would be a wedding band with her birthstone, which is sapphire.

Anyone have suggestions on bands with diamonds and sapphires?

Thanks again

What about something like these...you may have to ask them if they can milgrain the sides of the rings so it will match better...

(I''m thinking the bars on this one will hold it off from the ering and keep it from rubbing - a little expensive in plat)

I think if you soddered (sp?) the rings together you wont have the rubbing problem but a lot of women dont want to do that.

This may work without being soddered.

Have you asked your GF or FI what she wants? Did she say a 5 or 7 stone?

I love the one Rock of Love posted with the sapphires. You get the two stones AND the milgrain which will match her ering!

I love the bands Rock of Love posted. That''s my birthstone too, I might just make one of those my RHR or my wedding band. Great idea!
