hello everyone

I wanted to confirm with the PriceScope community that the diamond I purchased was a good one. If it’s not, they have a 30 day return policy so I should be good, lol... anyways here are the specs.
Any input is greatly appreciated! :)

1.5 carats
G color
Si2 (has been confirmed as eye clean by two different people)
Triple excellent
No fluorenscence
$7500

You need to enter the angles/%s into the HCA tool within the Tools tab at the top of the forum, then come back with the figure.

Its a 60/60 style diamond. So, it will return more white light than fire. It has complimentary angles and should have good spread for the weight. Get an IS or ASET. 60/60 really need these tools to be sure we understand if there is enough to keep is "oh wow" vs. "it's nice". ;)2

The stone seems to be a promissing 60/60 style diamond. As mentioned above, the best way to judge performance would be with an ASET or IS image. You can purchase your own online, if the vendor was unable to provide one of those images.

Welcome to PS and congratulations :)

If it's "reassurance" you're after ... then yes, the proportions (is that a GIA certificate?) and triple excellent grading means you're almost certainly going to have a lovely diamond.

Don't worry about splitting too many hairs. Just see the diamond in person. Yes, an idealscope or ASET will provide the practical information that simple numbers do not.

An SI2 eye-clean? Well if it is ... it is ...

SimoneDi & rockysalamander,

I did request the IS image from Blue Nile but they said they only have those images for their Astor diamonds. :(
I did not know you could purchase the IS image online... do you have a link to where I could get that?
and I forgot to mention that it is GIA certified.

tanalasta,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm so happy I found this site, it's really amazing!
Yes, I'm hoping it's truly eye clean... We'll see if it really hopes up to my peepers though.

Honestly; I have high hopes for your stone. The angles are great, 60/60 is still a cutting style admired by many and it gives you a lovely spread. I had a 60/60 diamond which I loved.

Are you still within your return window in case the diamond doesn’t have a great performance?

Decent 60/60 style stone. Would prefer to see CA at 34.5 on that GIA report but otherwise it’s pretty good angle combo wise.

HI:

Lots of nice 60/60's out there. As for SI2's...well...I'd like to see the grade making inclusions. Can you provide a link to the GIA cert?

cheers--Sharon

I had a 60/60 that I loved. My wife has one that she loves. If cut well with good light return, they can be very good value for well cut diamonds. GL, I hope it truly is eye-clean and that you're happy with it!

Thanks for all the replies! Thankfully I am within my return window in case the diamond isn't truly eye clean. I'll definitely post pictures once it arrives.

Here's the full GIA report

I hope that the cavity is buried well beneath the surface of the stone. Looking forward to seeing photos of the actual stone.
