I was measuring from the bottom of the ring where you'd have it on your finger to the top of the stone, and its not quite a full 5.1mm from the culet to the bottom of the ring to make it 10. IF you have a ruler with MM's on it, you could lay the ring on top of it to get a more exact guess. I personally like really high settings. It's not for everyone but that's about my ideal height there.heather2012|1327532322|3111696 said:Thank you SO much for responding...I wasn't quite sure how the height of a setting was measured, so now I am guessing it is from the top of your finger to the top of the stone? This is really tall, BUT I will most likely be able to wear a band that sits next to the ring, right? I saw someone on here who had stacked wedding rings right next to her engagement ring and I LOVED that look, I am hoping to be able to do the same.
Thanks again ame!

As for stacking, the big catch is that the base of the head has a bit of a donut and that protrudes on the ring enough that a straight band against that will have a gap.

It is actually not as high as I thought then (probably just around 8.6mm), which might be a good thing since I was afraid it might get damaged!
