Help for my 16 year old son!

He`s in love and he wants to buy his special girl a little something for her sweet 16 birthday in a few weeks. :))

He`s thinking of getting her a necklace with a pendant and ideally he'd like a pendant with a very small diamond in it. His budget is modest (300$ max).

Does anyone have any suggestions for him? I looked around a bit but haven`t really found anything so I thought perhaps my fellow PSers could lend me a hand. :wavey:

Oh, how sweet! I've had this pearl and diamond pendant on my wish list for a while, and it's $221:

There are lots of options, too, so he can choose what he think she'd like most (white or yellow 14k gold, length of chain, color of pearl, size of pearl) and personalize it in that way. A friend of DH's got his fiancée's pearl engagement ring from PP and had a great experience so I can attest to their customer service and quality.

That seems like a pretty big budget for a 16 year old to gift to his g/f!

Thanks Enerchi! we checked out diamondbistro but he wasn`t keen on getting anything "used" (rolls eyes). He has so much to learn. ;))

He started working 2 months ago and the money is burning in his pocket. :bigsmile: It`s so cute to see him worrying about getting her something special. I`ve taught him well. ;))

Thank you Circe!! I showed him the necklace but he doesn`t want anything made of yellow gold. Silly boy. I think it's beautiful!!! And the earrings are stunning but he said they're not her style. Thanks for looking around for him though! Much appreciated. :wavey:

He`s really interested in the Tiffany Heart key pendant and I told him to go for it. I'm sure she`ll never forget this special gift from my son. :))

So because we're in Canada we have to order off the Canadian Tiffany site so we're looking around at the selection there now. They have the same Key Heart pendant (but they are charging $250 + $55 for the chain! The American site charges $225 for the whole thing!!! Strange :(( ) but he's going to take his time and find her the right necklace. Too cute. :bigsmile:

I vote for the Tiffany DBTY in silver. It's timeless and ageless. She can wear it everyday and it goes with everything. And what girl wouldn't love a nice quality diamond (probably her first)?
 
I'm voting Tiffany too! I think every 16 yo girl dreams Tiffany! I'm betting it would be her first too, and a memory that she will always remember and cherish.
