Figured this would help all of the upcoming brides on here......

Past Brides: Please tell & show us what brand/name shoes you wore on your wedding day AND did you wear them all day? if not, what did you do?
did you go barefoot? put on flip flots, sneakers, another pair of shoes? socks? etc etc.

Thanks in advance.

I don''t know the brand name but I actually got my shoes at David''s Bridal. I also put gel inserts in them. They were fine for me, but we didn''t do any dancing.

Not married yet, but FrekeChild found me these shoes from Jimmy Choo''s online store. I don''t intend to change into flips, sneaks, or my bare feet. Then again, I''m used to wearing high-heeled sandals, so I know these aren''t going to drive me nuts, because they''re a lot like the types of shoes I wear in my regular walking-around life.

I wore green satin heels from Nine West. I ended up NOT wearing them all day though and actually went barefoot a little. I don''t know why I didn''t change into flippies.

I wore platinum colored sandals from Ann Taylor Loft that had a wee little 1/2" heel. I wore them all day. I blistered, LOL.

I wore corso como flats, got 'em on zappos.com along with 2 other pairs, chose my faves and returned the rest!

They were very comfy, but I added a heel pad just in case (my heels tend to get ripped up even in not-new shoes). It was so cold the day of our wedding that I ended up putting on tall socks (which you can see in some of our pics, oh well, at least I was warm!) which made them EVEN comfier!!

(sorry for the sticky-outy tendons and veins in this picture--YUCK--that pic was definitely not in my "favorites" pile to consider for the album!!!!!)

I wore gold Manolo Blahniks

I got them for 50% off through the Barney''s New York website.

I wore mine all day, dancing, walking in the grass, everything. I don''t wear heels normally, and I think I intended to change (I had a backup pair of silver flats), but I didn''t even think of my feet until we got to the hotel, cause I was so distracted with everything else! That said, I think my Manolos are more comfortable than any other pair of heels I''ve ever owned.

And, since they aren''t too wedding-y, I can wear them again (I totally have already)!

I don''t have pictures of my shoes, but I wore ivory sandals (I think they had a small heel -- 3/4") . They were pretty comfy and they coordinated with my dress very well.

I wore green satin Vince Camutos with a 4" heels.
They were great, I wore them all day with no trouble. Our wedding was at 11 AM on the 4th of July and they were on my feet from the ceremony until fireworks around 9 PM.
Here''s a link to the thread I posted when I found them.

The best thing is that I''ve worn them several times since the wedding.

It''s not the best pic, but it shows the heals I wore (from Bakers) all through the ceremony and for pictures outside (I should have changed earlier, they weren''t that painful, but hard to walk in the grass in them) and the platform wedges from Kohls that I wore the rest of the night. The wedges were soooo comfortable and definitely kept my dress from dragging!

I wore these from David''s Bridal all day with no problems - I wear heels all the time, though - usually higher than these!

Hi All
Thanks for posting your shoes - this helps me a bit, interesting that some of you wore them all day.
I thought that "wedding" shoes in general were very uncomfortable, i only wore "wedding shoes" once when i was in a wedding = they were VERY Painful so i guess i just assumed
all wedding shoes got from bridal shops were painful - maybe that isnt so
Anyway - i have enlisted the help of frekechild to help me find something good! tx all!
keep the pics coming though i love seeing them! my favorite part of this site

I wore white, sparkly sandals the whole time under my fairly traditional wedding gown. I bought them at Macy''s for $40, no idea what brand, and I was so glad I didn''t choose heels. I was comfortable the whole afternoon/evening, never even thought about my shoes. Then again, I would never wear shoes if I didn''t have to.

I wore these red Caparros Val shoes for photos/ceremony, but I had my set-up crew (my mom, personal attendant, etc) for our reception site put a pair of flats under the head table at my spot so that I could slip off the heels if I needed to. I did, because even though I attempted to break in the heels, I''m just not a heels kind of girl.
