Ladies - This is my very first post but i have been reading along with you all and admiring your gorgeous pieces for years now. This very indecisive woman needs some advice and ideas for my 10 year wedding anniversary gift.
First, I should say, my husband is amazing at understanding how much I love jewelry and has been very generous in our ten years of marriage. My collection currently consists of a pair of 2ct tw diamond earrings (5 year anniversary), the antique right hand ring (pictured, for our 1 year anniversary), an upgraded engagement ring center stone (pictured, we went from 1ct center stone to a 2ct center stone for our 7 year celebration) and for our 10 year he suggested a new ring or a tennis bracelet. I have always wanted a tennis bracelet but since I am a mother to a toddler and a newborn he thought I wouldn’t wear it so much and wanted me to opted for a ring or even a necklace.
I spent a ton of time looking and our jewelry made me a ring, which I received this week. THE RING IS AMAZING!!! Pics attached. It is a 3ct cushion cut stunner with a tiny emerald on each side as a tribute to our babies who were both born in May.
So now I have this massive ring and I have no idea what to do with it. It’s huge and sits high up and I’m totally afraid to wear it. Our jeweler is amazing and is a good friend who knows first-hand about my indecisiveness, so he is totally fine if I need to exchange it; as is my awesome husband who would rather me be happy than not wear it. Also, I love my engagement ring and I don’t ever want to replace it. The problem is the new ring is very much an “engagement ” look. So what do I do? Do I wear it as my new engagement ring and switch my three stone to my right hand (and not wear my antique ring daily as I have been for years?). Do I opt for something else completely? Ugh! I hate being so indecisive, but this ring cost entirely too much and was a huge sacrifice for him for me to not wear it daily.
Note - I have also considered a 5ct tennis bracelet, a new wedding band/anniversary band or even a right hand ring/band (something like a Tiffany 16-stone or a floral-type diamond band).
Please give me all your ideas and thoughts on what you would do; along with any amazing anniversary jewelry that you love! Feel free to include pics as I love seeing all your beautiful jewelry!
Thank you all so much in advance!
