Hi Guys !!
Needing some suggestions for a fitted wedding band for my Spess and Diamond white gold E ring.
I'm stuck for ideas and going to see my Jeweller in a few weeks and would like to go to him with a few ideas.
It's a hard one. The basket under my ring is quiet low and all bands I've tried so far rub on it.
Any suggestions very welcome. Go crazy !!

I love your ring! I don't think there's any way to get a "straight" ring to sit flush against it, though. If you want a flush fit ring, you'll probably need to have a contour ring made with a C-shaped jut-out (I'm sure there's a more accurate and elegant term for that :wink2: ) that your engagement ring can nestle into.

Or maybe ... a standard ring that comes around 5/8 of the way and has a very flat bridge piece to go under the decorative part of your e-ring? There might be structural integrity issues to deal with, though...

ETA looking at your ring again, you might be able to combine the two ideas - i.e., have the jeweler make you a contour ring, but make the contour part fairly small and flat so the contour cups around the base of your e-ring's basket, but is essentially hidden under the edge of your setting. Looking at your set from the top, all you'd see is a straight band that "ducks" underneath that beautiful halo'ed spess!

Thanks. It's a hard one. Think I need to stick with simple so as not to take away from my e ring. Didn't really think about how a band might work when I designed this!!

These two views of a Fay Cullen ring show the first option I was talking about - where the wedding ring wraps around the outside of the engagement ring. However there's quite a bit of room under the basket of your ring. I think it would be possible to design the wedding ring with a fairly small contoured area that would be totally hidden underneath the basket when the two rings are worn together.
