Hi, I have never posted before but I have been lurking and admiring all the wonderful taste in rings that you all have. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and we have discussed marriage quite a bit. I have expensive taste.....like much further beyond our budget lol. He has basically said that the only thing standing in the way from us getting engaged is finding a ring that I love that is affordable.

I would never want him to spend more than he could afford...so I have been looking at rings that are in a more obtainable price range (2000-2500). I love antique rings. I have been admiring the rings on antiqueengagementrings.com and I love all the positive reviews I have been reading about Leigh Jay Nacht and his site. We are planning a trip to NY in the fall and I was thinking about going to his booth to look at some in person.

However while browsing on here I came across a post that mentioned a website www.doverjewelry.com and I found this ring:

amazing

I cannot stop staring at it. I love the way it looks from the top view and from the sides and to me it is just perfect. I however do not know anything about this website and if it is a good one to deal with. I also do not know much when it comes to diamond grading and what not so I know the pictures make it look gorgeous but I don''t know from reading the description if this ring has good quality diamonds set into it.

If any of you can tell me anything you know or have heard about the website...or even if you know of any rings that are similar to this one on another site.

any info is appreciated :) thanks

Hi! Welcome to Pricescope.

The setting you posted from Dover Jewelry is really pretty. I hope you and your BF can work together to get it on your finger!

There is a thread here that show rings purchased from Dover Jewelry. I found those in just a quick search here on PS. You might find more experiences if you do a search yourself.

All of the above rings look gorgeous and the owners appear to be very happy with their purchases. Good luck!!!

I think that ring looks beautiful! I can see why you are interested in it. It is lovely and intricate, yet very delicate and feminine.

No personal experience with them (but they do have some pretty interesting and amazing antique and estate rings - and some of those in the Under 5K would interest me if I had a few thousand laying around!), but you can contact the site and see if they can give you any more information on the stone and setting. Or, check their return policy, buy it get a good look at it and take it for your own independent appraisal.

Thank you for those links. I had done a search but I must not have been picking the right threads because I couldn''t find any where people had actually purchased from them. I get nervous about credibility when making large purchases online.

Also thanks for the advice on checking the return policy--- I''m going to look into that now. Also I am going to go back to looking at more of your beautiful sparklies but now that I am registered I will leave comments rather than just lurking :)

Do they custom make pieces? That ring looks a bit off to me - maybe the shank is bent or something? The prongs are not even if you look at them in the side view pic...

lovely design though!

that is a beautiful setting!
