Help finding stones for a 3 stone ring?!

Hi! I'm wanting to make a 3 stone ring out of my current engagement ring which is a 1.7carat mined diamond (7.7mm) . It isn't a great cut (purchased before finding PS, sadly) But i'd like two nice side stones to up the bling! I love the look of an 80% side stone and so would be looking for 1-1.25 carats for the side stones. I colour and just eye clean!

The I will make it tougher than normal (and maybe pricey) to find two matching well cut stones.
Someone will find them.

That's a beauty!! I am not in any real rush, so could purchase second stone in time. I am new to LGD, is this a good price? I may be able to go down to .9 carat and still achieve the look I want after some more 3 stone stalking!

No, the price is not good! An H or G will be a less costly find.
There are some real experts here (I'm not one, far from it) that can help you, give them some time.
This 1.20, D, VVS1, H&A, HPHT is $300ish.

oh wow, why are higher colours less expensive? Do they make more of them in lab diamonds? VS I's or J's?

He means "higher color" as in G/H.

I'm thinking maybe if you look in the H range you might have more luck.

Smaller stones usually show less tint than large stones, but these side stones will be pretty large, so I'm not sure if that applies.

Most LGD are in higher color/higher clarity, so its hard to find stones in IJK+ range.

Hopefully someone who is better at finding LGDs will come along. I found one but it was $1500.

I think you should be able to pick both of them up for $900-ish, give or take (probably less).

IMO using 2 h&a LGDs would only lay emphasis on the not-great-cut and color of the natural centerstone; I would buy 3 great cut LGDs and have a brand new three stone ring.
Again just my opinion.
