Help Finding Antique Styled Cushion

Hi everyone!

I’ve been searching for quite a while for a natural antique-style elongated cushion, ideally over 4.5ct with a ratio of 1.3 or higher. I’m hoping to stay under $60k, but I’d be willing to go higher for a true dream stone. I’m also open to lower colored stones to help with budget, and I wouldn’t want to go lower than SI2 in clarity. Not into the super chunky facet look.

I’ve connected with a few jewelers already, including one I absolutely loved meeting with in late 2024, but I’m feeling a little hesitant/annoying about following up with a new budget and sourcing ask. I also really don’t want to offend anyone or have word get around that I’m shopping around too much. I want to be respectful of everyone’s time and relationships.

If anyone has leads, suggestions, or is a jeweler open to a quiet reach-out, I’d be so grateful. Based near NYC.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, welcome. Do you want real antique or modern cut diamond?

Can you please give some examples of stones with faceting that you like? I'm a bit confused as you're looking for an antique style cushion but not chunky facets.

I'm pretty new to the search but I'd say a bit more modern, not into the August vintage look. Attached are inspo pics:IMG_9275.jpgIMG_9276 2.jpgIMG_9272.jpg

just posted inspo pics!

I think Alex Park has had some antique style cushions that might fit what you're looking for. He's also based in New York.

Yeah those are all modern and there aren't many antiques like those. Have you seen diamonds cut like this in person? They are usually shallow and sort of glassy looking.

I have! I don't mind the glassy look, but I haven't been able to find anything similar from any online vendors - just trying to compare pricing options

You have a very healthy budget so I would take my time looking.
There are lots of lab diamonds cut like this but not very many natural diamonds.
I think the market for this style is small so it might be more difficult to price. But I think Alex Park had a 4ct one that he posted a while ago.

Colour is really warm though:

And Jacob K had one too but again pretty warm:

And you have probably already seen this one:

Love both of these! I've had trouble getting in touch with Alex Park, but I'll follow up. Thank you for the suggestions!

SI2 clarity and maybe not quite the look you want but Jewels by Grace is coming to NYC in a couple of weeks and you might like this 4.12 I/SI2 (supposedly eye-clean and it seems plausibly true from the photos) for $65k:

These are part of my Insta list of diamonds of this type. It can't hurt to reach out.
