Help finding a band for my 3 stone Asscher ring-Please!

I''m so sorry! I keep forgetting to take a picture for you! I''ll try tonight. I think a 5 stone would over power your 3 stone engagement. I would do an eternity band.

Stepcutnut I just wanted to say your ring is gorgeous and there is no such thing as too much bling. I really like the 2mm plain band with your er.

What a gorgeous ring, Stepcutnut. I think you should try a prong set 5 stone (or 7) asscher band. I tried on an emerald three stone with a 7 stone (all prong set) at the jewelers and it was awesome. A lot of bling, but who cares? That''s the point!!

I tried on a 5 stone prong set band and it was gorgeous!!! Not too much bling at all, if I go that direction-I think I would want one made with a matching knife edge band as my 3 stone.

I also found this band and loved it, but am not sure if it's the look I want(ruby is my birthstone)???

Beautiful ring. I suggest a thin plan comfort fit band. If you want a fancier band, I''d suggest wearing it on the other hand. your ER is too beautiful to have another fancy ring next to it. My 2 cents !

I would love the perfect plain platinum band and also a blingy band

The 5 stone I tried on was prong set and although it looked nice with my 3 stone, I was really worried with how much the prongs from both rings rubbed together! So that made me think that a 5 stone would be awesome, but I wasn't sure about the rubbage(is that even a word?).

3 choices:

1)1.25ctw Prong set-would match, but worried about the rings rubbing together! I don't like the idea of a spacer band either-no room on my finger

2)1.25ctw Heart shaped prongs-the prongs just kind of dissappear!

3)1.00ctw bar set-no prongs to snag on anything!

All 3 are set in Platinum.

The 1st band is the most expensive and could have the band custom made to match my knife edge band.

The other 2 bands I also like alot, but know that they are different. The 3rd one I think is a memoire, so know that the quality is fabulous as well.

Any suggestions???

I like the idea of the 2nd (with the low profile prongs) with your prong-set 3 stone.

I really really like the bar set band, would probably make that my #1 choice except you might want the two rings to match a bit more...in that case I would go w/ #2

OMG I am beyond speechless. Your Asscher ring is to diieeeeeeeeeeeeee for. I am seriously loving it.

David does pick fantastic stones doesn't he? I honestly would have difficulty choosing a band from the lovely selection you've posted but I kept coming back to thinking that I'd be seriously tempted to get David to make a shaped band to go around the ring - and perhaps 2 (one for each side)???!!!!!

A question if you don't mind? The channel set carre cut diamond band you posted earlier, is it an estate piece or modern? I've just bought exactly the same ring but in y/gold. It was sold as an estate piece but I'm not sure. Here's mine:

LD I was looking at that same band you bought! It is lovely!!! The carre cut band I posted on the first page is an eternity band,1.50ctw set in platinum from the 50s . Yours is 1.0 ctw, so it's about 1.5mm wider than mine at 2mm. Be sure to post pics when you get it!

kimikocat-I''m painting wall murals in each of my 2 nieces and nephew''s new bedrooms this week so pics will have to wait a little bit! Firetruck theme in one, flowers and bugs in the 2 others. My oldest niece also wanted dinosaurs included in her room, but changed her mind- I am a little glad about that-how do you just pop ones of those into the mix!!!

Thank you for the info. I actually received the band on Saturday and will post pics later. The diamonds actually total more than 1ct I think and it''s nearer to 1.25ct which is good news.

What do you think about having David shape you a band (or 2) to go around your GORGEOUS ring?

hillaryr-thanks!!! I actually have 2 2mm plat Tiffany bands, one being a knife edge-which is too thin and the knife edge too harsh IMO and the other a novo band, too short-needs to sit up higher I think. So I am actually still on the hunt for the perfect plain band-mine is about 2.7mm in width.

Vespergirl-thanks so much I am really happy with the 5 stone memoire band, the way it sits it looks like an eternity band without the uncomfortableness of stones between my fingers! I also love how low it sits!

This is too late, but I recently came across this Asscher cut band that I absolutely love and wanted to share! It''s from Blue Nile, 1 ct. tw., 5-stone platinum band. I''m not normally a big fan of bezel, but this is the exception. Now I''m wondering if I should redo my ER from a RB to Asscher all for this band! Hehe.
