You should consider eyeclean SI clarity. Radiants and cushions hide inclusions well.

Let me see if I see any worth considering. Also an H in a 1/2 carat sized cushion won't have noticeable tint if well cut.

For me it's down to these two:

See if they can provide you with an ASET of these two.

Put the stones on hold. Even if they can't get you an ASET there is no bad choice. They hold for three days.

Maybe on Thursday or Friday they will have a black Friday deal that lets you get more for your budget.

I'm thinking to do a custom setting. I am a size 5.5, I don't want something that sits up too high(No solitaire setting) Maybe a thin band with a very dainty halo?

Question...are you the guy or the girl? I'm also assuming that the setting isnt part of the $1200 budget since you
are asking about a ring (even if custom) would be way more than $1200.

Yes, if you want something dainty that would be way over the top in my opinion. The stone would also set up very high
and the cost of that setting is, well, lets just say a lot!

JA does have some similar but without all the fancy gallery (which makes the stone set up too high, my opinion). To be honest,
some of these might overshadow the stone.

I* would rather see it in something like this (look at the princess cut in the .5ish size). It makes a beautiful, well put together,
congruous look. They can probably do it without the milgrain if you are not into it. Again, just my opinion. You have to be
happy with it.

Hi!

I am the girl, we are already married. Here we don't really propose with a ring. But decided to get a his and her ring as an anniversary/forever ring/gift.

The verragio setting I could get made for about $1000.. Here is an example (no stones set)



I did some more digging and I've come to really love wide filigree/vintage bands. This way I could just wear the wide band by itself, It wouldn't sit up too high either which would be practical for everyday.




What do you think?

Honestly?
I think that baguettes are very expensive.

And that your 1/2 carat diamond is going to get lost in that design.
