Decent, but it looks like it has light leakage under the table. Do you have more information?

There might be something else going on towards the tips too...not sure...it certainly is not the best image I have ever seen, but I am not familiar with how much of that is the diamond or if some is user error...

Same stone? Need more info please, proportions, depth, table, CA/ PA and suchlike.

Is it possible that you have the stone either too far into the scope or too far past it....the colors seem really off in the first pic(looks like a ASET not a idealscope pic). Not as bad in the second one, but the blacks look very undefined.

When you look at it through the scope does it appear the same with you eye as it does in these pics?

I agree though, in the second picture their appears to be a lot of leakage under the table, some on the edges is expected, but it looks like a bit much right now.

Is there a typo in there or are those really the specs? Can you double check?

yes, those are the real specs.

yes, those are the real specs.

Nevermind it was my user error, not your specs.

So based on the specs all looks well...did you take those IS/ASET images? Can you get more? There appears to be something funky with them but again, not sure if it''s the stone or the user.

these were taken by the seller, I''ll ask him to take some better pictures.

Yeah...it looks like he isn''t very familiar with how to use one or did it quickly...

Here''s a clear aset image. How''s would you evaluate this image? Thanks

Looks off center and like it has light leakage but could be the angle of the scope...can you see it in person to evaluate it?

This one is what you want it to look like ideally...see how the center is dark?:

ic... unfortunately i can''t see the diamond in person.

Could it be possible that the pictures posted are tilted or at a slight angle, hence the appearance of much leakage?

Also, the HCA score was 1.9 with "very good" basically all across the board ... why can't you see the diamond in person?

I think this is possible, which is why we went to round 2 of images. But since he can't see it and these are the vendor's second attempts at pictures, I would probably still pass and try to look around...HCA should be used as an elimination tool not a selection tool.

well the seller sent me these new sets of pics. i don''t know what else can be done to make it clearer. what do you guys think?

This ASET image on this diamond GOG http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4768/ doesn''t have a dark center. Is having a dark center on the image caused by how someone takes these pictures or a characteristics of the diamond? Exactly what does having a dark center mean?

Thanks

By "darker" i mean red. The GOG stone still has red in the middle, yours has splotches of white. I'm not an expert though, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

Read this for more information on what the colors mean. White (or black depending on the background color) means light leakage.

Also, if you check where it falls on the HCA it is outside of the AGS0 range which are the best of the best normally. It falls into GIA excellent range only, which has a MUCH wider variation than the AGS "ideal" ranking.

Also to add, I am being very nitpicky here. In the grand scheme of things it is probably a pretty nice diamond. Probably not the PERFECT ideal cut diamond, but still nicer than the majority of stones on the market!

well... here''s the 4th try, not much improvement, but it may help a little.

IC, What do you think? is it worth about 14.4 k for this particular diamond? or will I have buyer''s remorse?

Personally I think you are paying a lot for a clarity that you don't need...I'd prefer DenverBoy's find...but that's a personal preference.

Or really, I would be VERY happy to save almost $5k and buy this one:
