I need help selecting a diamond - what is better?
VVS1 J vs VS1 E-G?
..what would be a better choice in quality and/or price...my vendors are giving conflicting info (one says the 1st is better) and the other says the 2nd is better. I am so confused. Thanks. TRACY

We need info on the cut quality and the shape to give you any advice. Are they certified by GIA, AGS, EGL, uncertified...?

Of course, they are trying to sell their stone. Which lab graded these stones, the report number and carat weight?

Really, I think most of us would consider VVS1 overkill. I think a well-cut G/VS1 would do the job.

Size matters, too. A smaller J will look whiter than a large J, which will show color more. It seems you have great choices there but like the other expert posters said, they need more info to be more helpful.

I suggest you go up to the top of the page and read some of the items under "Knowledge." It will give you a better grounding in what you''re facing.
