I've filtered down to a WF Precision Lab and BG Premium Lab diamond - Really appreciate your help evaluating between the two:

https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/...remium-lab-grown-round?variant=41424495870013

https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-di...-vvs2-clarity-round-ideal-cut-lab-sku-p291253

The biggest obvious difference is 2.08 carat vs 2.5 carat and thus the price difference. But, right now BG has a sale with a promo code so it actually works out to be almost the same cost - I don't need a 2.5 (it might even be too big), but since it's almost the same cost, just considering it.

The most important thing for me is cut, light performance, fire, and brilliance - both stones look top-notch based on their videos and advanced aset / hearts & arrows imagery.

A smaller difference that may or may not be worth calling out is that the BG stone is CVD grown vs Whiteflash is HPHT - I'm aware of the technical differences comparing these growth methods and online there are people on both sides of the fence in terms of which is better. Do folks here factor HPHT vs CVD into their decision at all?

I would hit report concern and ask this to be moved to the lab grown sub forum. Lots of folks there well versed in lab grown diamonds. They would be able to give you excellent advice there. Good luck with your selection!

I love BG and have purchased from them … plus I know that DSS is real … but I like the WF better. There’s substantial graining in the BG stone, at least to my eye.

@Kim N, @Karl_K, @lovedogs thoughts on material?

To be honest I'm a bit shocked at the material of the BG stone. I was prepared to look at it and disagree but I cant.

I was surprised, too! Not what I’d expect from BG smh

I'm disappointed in BGD for labeling it one of their premium labs. It dilutes the brand.

Is the diamond in question the 2.5 ct. D VVS2 for 5,998?
